Positive: The breakfast comprises rice with sauces but one may bring one's own cereal or whatever. The location of the guesthouse is excellent with the #2 or #18 bus going directly to the business hub and beyond. Moreover the guesthouse is a 10 minute walk from Shin-Kobe (but don't rely upon Google maps). There is a FamilyMart within 100m of the guesthouse

Negative: The ablution area is minimal but seems to serve well enough for quantity of guests that happened to be there.

Positive: It is a good hostel and a good price, they had all the amenities that you need.

Negative: It is a little far from the main station of Kobe so you will either have to take the train to shin Kobe or a bus from the station.

Positive: Very close to Shin Kobe station, and walkable to the main tourist attractions. It's a old japanese house but well maintained, bed was comfortable and there was a locker provided for valuables. Well equipped kitchen. Onigiri making at breakfast was fun and the staff was nice.

Positive: The vibe of Kobe is just wonderful. You will have free breakfast every morning. Even if you don't know how to make rice ball yourself, don't worry! There is always a staff there to teach you. The room was very quiet and people are friendly.

Negative: The room and the whole building was FREEEEEEEEZING...
