Positive: Vara's property is an ideal spot for anyone looking for a peaceful get-away, while still being close to all facilities (7-11, restaurants, bars, markets) and the beautiful beach and natural park. Vara is a real pearl: so helpful and kind - I wish I could have stayed longer and there is no question I will stay nowhere else when in the area. The room is spotless, the bed extremely comfortable, and the beautiful lush garden and veranda just transport you into a serene, authentic world that I have seldom found in my travels. I highly recommend staying at Vara's - thank you so much, Vara!

Positive: I really enjoyed my stay at Guesthouse Coconut Maya. Vara, the host, was incredibly warm and hospitable—she even welcomed me with fresh coconut and papaya straight from her garden, which was such a lovely touch. One of the highlights for me was having access to a bicycle that Vara rents out. It made it easy to explore the area and get to all the local gems: stunning beaches, a nearby national park filled with monkeys, and the beautiful Koh Samet island just a short ferry ride from Ban Phe pier. If you're traveling solo or as a pair and you're looking for a peaceful escape away from the chaos and noise of the city, this place is definitely worth considering. It’s a quiet, authentic spot with a kind host and a lot of natural charm.

Positive: We stayed at this guesthouse for one full week. The location was peaceful and quiet but very close to the beach and many good places to eat. 7/11 is only a short distance away. The host made arrangements for a scooter which was delivered and picked up from the guesthouse ( cheap and convenient) . It’s only a five minute ride to the centre of Ban Phe and the ferry to Kho Samet Island . Every time we came back to the accommodation it was like going home. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and everything is brand new. The host was happy and friendly and gave us many suggestions for things to do. We spent most evenings sitting out the back having dinner and looking out over the large pond . We recommend this guesthouse for anyone looking for a quiet stay in a beautiful part of Thailand . Being as it’s just the single room off the main house you have the whole place to yourself.

Positive: The room was cozy, super clean, and had everything I needed – air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a private bathroom. The separate entrance gave me plenty of privacy, which I really appreciated. The check-in and check-out process was easy and hassle-free, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The location is fantastic! It's just a short walk (max 10 min) to a beautiful, long sandy beach where you can relax, grab a bite at nearby restaurants, or rent a moped to explore the area. The outdoor space at the flat was also nice, with a seating area, outdoor shower, and a little BBQ that I got to use. The flat is set on a piece of land with a lot of coconut palms, which adds to the tropical vibe. It felt like a little oasis, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. The host was very friendly and helpful, which made my stay even better. It was convenient that he speaks English, Thai, and German. Overall, I had a really nice and relaxing time here. If you're looking for a quiet spot close to the beach, this place is definitely worth checking out!
