Positive: This is a very well-run hotel. The owner is very hands on, friendly and efficient. Everything was clean, tidy and in good repair, the beds extremely comfortable and the breakfast excellent. We felt at home here, stayed an extra night as we were enjoying touring the area.
Negative: The walls between the apartment terraces were a bit low so privacy was a problem and the swimming pool was freezing and certainly the coldest pool we encountred during our two week trip.
Summary: Great place to stay with comfortable beds, great breakfast and a warm welcome.

Positive: This hotel is in a super-quiet location, outside of town, but walkable to the medieval city of Sarlat. They serve a good Continental breakfast of pastries, yogurt, fruit, bread, high-quality tea, and coffee. It's dog-friendly and all of the rooms open up to a grassy area, making it easy to take dogs out first thing in the morning and last thing at night. There's also a patio area for drinking wine and relaxing outdoors in nice weather. Shower design was excellent, and bed was comfortable. Coffee and tea-making equipment is in the room. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Positive: A spotlessly clean hotel by fields on the edge of the marvellous medieval town of Sarlart. Anne-Marie, the hotel owner, was a lovely person - efficient, friendly and attentive to every detail. She and her partner were super hosts, Excellent large varied breakfast buffet is well worth paying for it each day. Large bedroom with separate toilet and bathroom area en suite. All are ground floor bedrooms and our seated terrace area had views across the large lawn to the hillside in distance. Ample free parking. Very steep 15 minute walk down hill to the down and also back - car advisable especially for touring the area which is full of chateaus and many other place of interest. Weather was unseasonably cold - even a frost! There is an outdoor swimming pool for summer use. Our room was warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. No evening meals or lunch served but good recommendations given for some of Sarlat's many restaurants.
Summary: An excellent place to stay in every way and we highly recommend.
