Summary: This is clearly a 5-star property both in a lovely removed, private setting yet mere steps from the old town. The cottage is lovingly crafted and very up to date. I was sorry not to have a "welcome notebook" with a history of the property as that would have been entirely fascinating. And although we figured everything out, a "user's guide" attached to that notebook would have been helpful. It is a spectacular property and was a joy to experience.

Summary: A short walk down the hill to middle of town made it easy to visit restaurants,shops and a grocery store. The house was roomy and quite comfortable. The one shower was in the washroom on the first floor away from the bedrooms but we worked around that easily. The one suggestion would be that a booklet outlining the use of the home eg where to put the garbage, how to operate TV, favorite restaurants etc. would be helpful. But Sophie answered all our question promptly. Overall a great stay.

Summary: We had a wonderful 10 days in this beautiful home. The house was very spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The walking path from the front door took us into Sarlat in just 5 minutes. Sophie was very responsive to any questions we had and provided us with some suggestions for restaurants in town. We would highly recommend this house.

Summary: A wonderful location overlooking the medieval city. A short walk to the centre. The nicest and best quipped property we've ever stayed in, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Sophie was on hand for any help or recommendations. Would throughly recommend this property. Neil & Jackie.

Summary: My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this spacious, well appointed home. It is a very short walk into town where there were numerous restaurants and markets. The two market days were perfect for providing us with good fresh foods and wines. The surrounding area is filled with small medieval villages to explore that are a short drive away. Sarlat is charming, well maintained and a perfect base to explore The Dordogne region. Sophie is a responsive host and has offered a charming home. This was our third trip to the french countryside and Sophie's cottage was by far our favorite rental. The outdoor terrace was ideal for watching the hot air balloons float by with a glass of french wine in hand.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and well located. There were some mice running about and we did find droppings in the bed, although the house was otherwise very clean and well appointed. We would have liked some coffee left in the cabinet at least for the first morning and the bedroom could use some hooks for clothes or coats. Otherwise it's well stocked with kitchenware etc. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area for coffee or wine and cheese. And it was a quick easy walk into town. The owner was quick to answer my questions and easy to work with.

Summary: What a lovely house so close to town yet totally private with parking. The house was fully equipped & communication with Sophie was easy. We really enjoyed our stay for 10 nights - there is plenty to see in town & the surrounding villages. Excellent, thank you

Summary: Lovely property, very well equipped and clean. Five minute walk down steps and a path into the centre of Sarlat. Very convenient. Clearer instructions on how to locate the property would be helpful. Good parking down the steep driveway, best to reverse. Sophie answered any queries I had very quickly by email.

Summary: Sophie’s house was very pretty, extremely well equipped and spacious. It was only a short walk into the centre of Sarlat and there was plenty of outside space and garden furniture. It is little difficult to find as it is hidden down the driveway so a direction map would be useful. However, this did not detract from a wondeful stay. Highly recommended!!
