Summary: Very nice and friendly staff. Even thiugh they did not know english, they made soecial effort tobunderstand us and made us as comfortable as possible. Only thing I would suggest is to have a little bit more variety for breakfast

Summary: We stayed at Hotel Le Verger because it was conveniently located to Chateau Chambord, which we planned to visit the following day. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and well maintained, the staff was very welcoming and helpful and it proved to be a terrific value. It is located in a very quiet area on the edge of a small town, which meant that dining options in the immediate vicinity were limited.

Summary: Hotel Verger is a very typical old style baronial house over three floors. The rooms are very basically furnished, but easily large enough for two people. Improved clothes storage and a shower bracket to enable the bath handshower to be used freestanding would be a great advantage. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - a lovely courtyard garden to sit and enjoy outdoor dining. Not the prettiest end of the Loire Valley with a huge EDF hydro station nearby (but does not impact on the hotel itself) - plenty of easy free parking - steep stairs to the two upper floors (no lift) - nice breakfast
