Positive: The view , the family room onsens , the shower and bath in the room
Negative: The other guests were pushy and the staff couldnโ€™t manage it I guess idk I felt like a number at check in and that didnโ€™t reflect the price paid. I guess after Covid the hotels unless very very good ones stopped giving out hot tea, hand towels , slippers, flowers etc .. idk I can feel the difference. The yukatas are too small for xl. I would say you Can not wear any of the samue or yukata if youโ€™re xxl. If kyukamura can get big yukatas then so can everyone. I would recommend bigger sizes people to bring their own clean pajamas and clean easy to wear clothes for the onsen. The family room / private onsens are through a wooded area on stairs - and on a first come first grabbed key basis if you get my drift. They donโ€™t work with reservations of time. Thankfully we could get it after waiting a bit.
Summary: Good view, nice onsen

Positive: The location is a ~2 hours' drive from Osaka but still, easy to find. We booked the whole villa for ourselves so it's very spacious, private and cosy. The room is well equipped with all the good stuffs - welcoming snacks, water, coffee machine and tea sets. We recommend to arrive earlier for the check-in and to enjoy some other extra (paid) services like facial treatment and massage and of course, hot spring. I intended to try the facial treatment but unfortunately it was full (we arrived at around 5pm). The private hot spring was the best. There are obviously some cats living in the resort. We saw a cat passing by our villa from the outside. It was spectacular experience. Dinner and breakfast was also great - they were well "designed". Although I actually thought meals in this resort are served in the rooms privately.
Negative: A few things that was not so pleasant over our short stay - 1. Before and after hot spring you'll need hot showers. However the hot shower in our room was cut off twice during our stay and we had to call the staffs to check. It's probably a known issue so they fixed it pretty fast but still it was cold at this weather when you are ready to take a hot shower. 2. Since you know customers will go in and out of showers and hot springs, providing only 1 set of towels is apparently not enough... So a few times during the stay we had to use wet towels. 3. Before our dinner we were waiting outside the dining area for the staffs to check the rooms and seats etc., It's a bit hard to understand why the reception staff had to hand- wrote the customer name into a piece of paper (rather than easily using the room type to identify) and asked around if you are the person written on the paper. While we were waiting the staff took my name and paper to ask another customer and they obviously did not recognize the name but said "yes" so the staff took them in and took our table. When I immediately informed the staff that it was my name on that paper the staffs were very hands-off and slow-reacting. We were later on taken to a smaller table which was not the best experience...
Summary: Overall it was great.

Positive: The staffs are very hospitable and helpful. Hot Spring is nice with very good view of the coast. Beds are comfortable. Very clean. There are nice restaurant near the hotel.
Negative: Hotel is bit old. We even saw the mold on the roof in the lobby. There is not clear signs, for example, there is the exit for the car, how to get to the private hot spring bath, etc.
Summary: Can be better
