Positive: The amenities were good. The staff was nice.
Negative: The breakfast was absolutely disgusting. The hot food was inedible. The waffle bar was a novelty, but I’m a grown person and I don’t eat waffles with sprinkles, etc.. Also, there was no non-dairy milk for the cereal It’s 2025, people want to eat healthy. The bed was really uncomfortable. It was springy and old. The pillows were awful. The linens were old and. The room felt dingy. The light switches were impossible to figure out. It was either really really bright or pitch black. There was nowhere to fill up a water bottle. I had to pay almost 6 dollars for a bottle of water. Oh my gosh… the water pressure in the shower was a joke. My room was only cleaned one out of the two days I was there, and it wasn’t because I overslept or anything. I was out of the room all day. I paid almost $400 a night for a shitty hotel in the middle of nowhere. I still don’t understand how this happened. I was under the impression that Hampton Inn was affordable.
Summary: Never, ever will I stay at another Hilton. Never

Negative: 1 of 2 elevators was out of order. Internet service was not available. No place to eat at night, which is not convenient when coming to the hotel for 1 night.

Positive: room was excellent size, booked for 5. breakfast was the usual fair all other motels set up.
Negative: Since I booked for 5, we had two queens and a pull out couch. "UNFORTUNATELY" the pull out couch was broken and could not be used as it was meant to be. I brought this to the attention of the front desk in the morning and all I was told was that I should have called (over and over again) for a cot, well it was 11 pm and I thought it was a little too late. I told front desk that I booked and paid for 5 people so the accommodations should have been ready, at which time I was told I was complaining too much and the person was almost in tears. I left it as is and said have a good day and we departed.
Summary: I stayed at Hilton in St Jacobs the night before, excellent stay,, unsure about the Barrie location.

Positive: Easy to access. Fairly nice facility overall. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent.
Negative: The shower had very little pressure and was down to a trickle at some points. No hand towels in the room. The fridge was noisy. the key cards for the room door only worked intermittently.
Summary: Overall it was okay but for the price I expected more.

Negative: The beds were so squeaky and the pull out wasn’t made up as we were told.

Positive: The room was clean and the staff were super helpful and friendly.
Negative: The hotel is showing it's age. Gaps in the main door frame large enough to light up the room, and blinds don't darken the room. Bathroom vent loud enough to think we were sleeping beside a furnace. Room was always cold no matter how much we put up the heat.
Summary: Staff were really nice, but the room was a letdown.

Positive: The whole experience from check-in to check-out. Very clean. Staff was friendly and one lady at breakfast was exceptional - she took the time to greet us each morning and spoke with my granddaughter.
