Summary: Room was okay—- hotel is not quite as nice as many other Hamptons I have stayed wit—needed some perking-up—or really deep cleaning in hallways, elevator, common areas, etc….. staff was marginally cordial—saw 5-6 different Indians at desk—who were curt, short-but certainly NOT friendly or giving out friendly welcoming customer service attitudes.

Summary: Good: Breakfast; also, free cookies, coffee, lemonade while we waited for our room Staff is very friendly and helpful Bed and pillows comfortable Bad: sink had obvious (green) dried toothpaste in it, a dozen or so clear little rubber bands all over the bathroom (so counters and floors not wiped/mopped). Tub/shower looked clean enough but there was a slight moldy smell. Overall about what I expected for an overnight for a longer roadtrip. Childress doesn't have a lot going for it but this Hampton Inn is probably the best place to stay. Walmart next door was convenient, too.

Summary: Better here than at the brand new renovated Days Inn across the street. Worth staying Hampton instead, 30 more, but safer parking and decent breakfast.
