Summary: I loved the charm of the old building. Breakfast was included and was very good. The famous Lukmaan restaurant is right around the corner. There is a mosque across the alley, so you will hear the call to prayer unless you’re a heavy sleeper. There is also street noise but it usually gets quieter the later it gets. There is no parking. Make sure the taxi driver points out the building because it’s very nondescript. Overall a great place to stay.

Summary: Was very grateful the hotel was able to arrange for taxi pickup at the airport as our flight arrival was bumped back to 12:30 AM. The hotel also agreed to have someone available to check us in at 1 AM, otherwise we'd have never found it let alone been able to get in. However, when I gave the desk the USD to pay the taxi driver, she told me should would have my change in the morning when we checked out. She knew our next driver was arriving at 10 AM but she was nowhere to be found with my change. Be aware that the 5 AM call to prayer will wake you up if staying anywhere near Stone Town.
