Positive: Hanok1942 is walking distance from the buzzing city center of Daegu. At the same time it is very peaceful and felt like home. Probably the warm welcome and good communication helped me feeling so great. I didn't want to leave.

Positive: For me, this was the perfect accommodation in a traditional Korean-style hanok from the last century, while still being fully adapted to modern times. I arrived at the last minute, and the communication with the host was excellent. During my stay, the temperatures outside dropped to as low as -20°C, but thanks to the underfloor heating, the hanok was wonderfully warm. Sleeping on the futon was surprisingly comfortable. The accommodation is located close to the subway. I would definitely recommend this place, and I only regret that I couldn’t stay longer.

Negative: I have nothing to complain about.

Positive: Great location, close to many things, rooms were clean and cozy, and the amenities were really great! Also host was super friendly and even gave us a map and recommendations for the area!

Negative: Had a little bit of difficulty with the hot water in the bathroom but it was still manageable.

Positive: What a fun, funky little place to stay! One of the more "unique" places my husband and I have stayed in during our world travels. If you need the Hyatt or Hilton, maybe it's not for you, but we don't demand glamor, and this place was a kick in the pants to stay in for a night or two. The space is small, but that was okay for the experience. We were surprised to find it tucked in amongst numerous motorcycle shops and then shocked to find the ensuite bathroom absolutely SPARKLINGLY new and clean! The bedding was comfy with a beautiful satin duvet. The only down side was the pillows were rock hard. You might use something to mitigate that. The host did all he could to make himself available for an early check-in. He works elsewhere and had to leave his other job to greet us. He was very friendly and efficient and was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction to get to other places. You would probably need to call him if you needed anything or had additional questions. We didn't use the shared kitchen, but it was perfectly clean and tidy with the usual things available. It was a memorable experience and I would highly recommend it for something fun and different to do.
