Our cozy coastal harborside cottage (ca 1900) located in the historic village of Quinby on Virginia’s sought after Eastern Shore awaits your arrival. While retaining the warmth and simplicity of earlier times, the cottage is newly renovated and fully equipped throughout offering new whole house HVAC, High Speed Internet (300 Mbps), Spectrum streaming service on two 55 inch TV’s, new beds, new appliances to include a full size washer and dryer, new outdoor Gas Grill and wood burning Fire Pit.
Quinby Harbor, a waterman’s harbor, provides quick passage to seaside bays, Barrier Islands and the Atlantic.
The Cottage offers a spacious deck spanning it’s entire width, perfect for a morning coffee or an evening’s barbecue. Keep an eye on the fishermen arriving with their daily catch or relax in the evenings around the Firepit, sharing the day’s yarns as the sun sets over the water and the islands beyond. Bring your bikes, kayaks, paddle boats, skiffs and fishing/crabbing gear or rent locally for nearby fun. Don’t forget your binoculars - the birding is great, not to mention your swimsuits. Summary: The house was conveniently located to the bike ride event we were participating in Exmore. It was very quiet and relaxing at the end of the road with view of water & marina. We enjoyed having breakfast on the deck.

Summary: Nice harbor view in small isolated residential area. Short walk to the Quinby harbor. House is well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches. Great place to just hang out and relax. Short drive into town for supplies and dining. Be sure to eat at Island House Restaurant and Marina a short drive north on 605! Amazing seafood! The Smith Island Cake, is habit forming! There was also a little honor system farm stand with fresh vegetables on the road in that we made good use of. Even though it was just the two of us this house would be awesome for a family of 5. Heat pumps worked great and kept house just right even in the July heat and humidity. Bring lots of mosquito repellent though! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Summary: The house was very clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with items for cooking and items needed for each day such as paper towels, cleaning supplies, & laundry soaps. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were well stocked with clean towels and supplies. The hosts were attentive and accessible. I would highly recommend if you were looking for a place on the Eastern Shore.

Summary: This was a week to relax with my teenage grandkids. The house was perfect for this. The kitchen was very well stocked. Two large screen TVs in the living room and den were great so I didn’t have to watch what they were watching. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of games and books available. The kids loved going down to the docks to explore. Great grill and fire pit were put to good use grilling dinners and making somemores. To sum up the week, we had a ball!

Summary: This was the perfect home for us (5 adults) while on the shore for a family wedding. It was easy to communicate with the owners, had a well stocked kitchen, cozy and comfortable decor, plenty of space to spread out, very comfortable beds, and located at the end of a street which offered quiet privacy and a view of the water. Our weekend was busy with wedding festivities, so we didn’t utilize the fire pit or explore the water - hope to do next time! But the home offered wonderful spaces to relax with coffee in the morning and hang with our family in the evening. Highly recommend! We feel blessed to have found this sweet place!
