Summary: Idylwilde is gorgeous in so many ways. My family loved the beach, the large beautiful yard, the adorable house and location. The porch is so lovely, we spent every evening gathering and chatting about our day. We have vacationed in Harbor for many years, red shutters is our favorite!!

Summary: Our family had a 4th of July reunion at the cottage (called Red Shutters). The cottage and setting were quite wonderful, with magical and artistic touches throughout plus the grace of another era - yet a vibe that was very modern. Every day we had a new surprise or experience: a lovely painting we hadn't noticed; a new wildflower in bloom enroute to the beach; the Big Dipper spotted as we sat around a beach campfire This was clearly a beloved place, and it made us feel like we were part of the family. There were many different places to hang out, so people could be together or have their privacy. The property manager Suzanne was extremely helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. We hope to return.

Summary: This is our second visit to this lovely property. It’s a wonderful location for a family vacation. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and wide inviting front porch. The children had ample room to play on large green lawns surrounding the house. We spent lots of time on the sandy private beach. Suzanne is a considerate and helpful owner.

Summary: Our family of 6 adults and 4 children had a wonderful time in this clean, very well equipped cottage on Little Traverse Bay. Big yard, sandy beach, big covered front porch, plenty of rooms, two miles from the charming town of Harbor Springs. All around delightful!!

Summary: It was the perfect northern Michigan home, on the water, for a family celebration. We had a fantastic stay and felt at home immediately at the cottage. Every amenity was provided and it made our time there, and our celebration of family, so memorable!

Summary: Great property and great location. Home was clean and well equipped. Beech was fantastic although access was a bit steep for elderly parents. Proximity to downtown Harbor Springs was very convenient for restaurants and shopping.
