We offer an updated, incredibly well supplied kitchen including a butcher block island, GE Café series appliances and ample room for your guests to converse in the eating nook located just off the kitchen. Sleep comfortably in either of the two bedrooms. The fully furnished master bedroom with a queen size bed has French doors opening out to the views of the Harbor. The second bedroom offers a king size bed and quaint window seat overseeing the serene backyard setting and sounds of the impressive waterfall (waterfall not available during winter months). To start your day, enjoy the newly remodeled, large walk-in shower with it's own sound system to get you up and going for your full day ahead. Relaxing at home for the day? Watch TV in the family room with comfy furniture and a beautiful gas fireplace or relax with your favorite book and enjoy the bright and sunny living room. If you prefer to be outdoors, experience the park-like rear yard with multiple patio areas, hot tub, huge waterfall and beautiful mature landscaping. Summary: The house was wonderful and so was the yard. It was in a great location in walking distance to excellent restaurants. The owners were communicative and everything was easy and seamless. We would definitely stay again if we are back in Gig Harbor!

Summary: This cottage is elegant. Everything is first rate and well maintained. John and Gail obviously take great pride in this cozy abode. It is perfectly situated in the heart of Gig Harbor. We enjoyed relaxing by the roses listening to the water feature. The front porch is a great spot for people watching. When the evening turned chilly we gathered around the fire pit. We watched the moon rise from the hot tub! This place has everything and I look forward to our next visit.

Summary: It's been a while since I've been this happy to write a review. We LOVED this cottage and our experience staying here. Before I gush, one thing for people staying to know is that both bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are a bit on the narrow and steep side, as they tend to be in historical homes. The first part of my enthusiastic review is to tell you that John and Gail are five star hosts. Their communication was timely and informative on all fronts. More impressively, they made us feel so welcome at every turn, from the tone of their communications to the decor (very homey and with character but not awkwardly personal) to how well stocked the cottage is (plenty of kitchen items AND in great condition, plush towels, and small touches that made a big impression). The cottage itself is cute and comfortable. It's got all the charm of its history but without the noisy floor creeks and door/window drafts or the cramped kitchen and bathroom, and with modern appliances, a convenient gas fireplace, and a luxurious shower. The backyard is beautifully landscaped. The beds were comfy. The master is roomy. The window seat looking out over the garden was a favorite characteristic of the house. The location was conveniently located not only to the shops and restaurants of The Harbor, but also less than 20 minutes to the Tacoma Dome, making it an ideal "home base" to escape to after a day in Tacoma. We feel lucky to have found this spot and hope to come back!

Summary: Wonderful central location in Gig Harbor, right on the main road that leads you around the harbor. The home itself is excellently appointed and comfortable to spend time in. The hot tub and backyard are wonderful placed and creates a nice ambiance. We enjoyed both good weather and bad weather days here.

Summary: We've stayed at many VRBO properties over the years, but this cottage in Gig Harbor will be cherished. We needed a place to camp while we explored the area (we are relocating from California) and the location was perfect in terms of providing easy access to freeways and major arteries, but also being near the charming Gig Harbor waterfront where we could easily walk to find food, coffee, etc. The cottage itself is in immaculate condition and has obviously been upgraded throughout, yet still has plenty of charm. Whether you want a spot right on the harbor, or an easy jumping off point for area excursions I can't think of a better place to be.

Summary: We had such a lovely time in Gig Harbor and the home was a big part of the reason why our stay was enjoyable. It was beautiful, comfortable and centrally located to everything that we needed. We would choose to stay there again if we come back to this lovely town!
