Positive: Very good location right at the harbour, also just across the street from two good eating places. We especially liked the pub, the Bottom Ship and ate there several times. The double bed was very comfortable. The sitting room is a comfortable place. The large tidal range means the immediate view from inside the sitting room is mainly the street and the top, muddy end of the harbour, but it looks dramatic on a high spring tide, when the sea comes well up the retaining wall. The kitchen is a galley type, so best for one person working there, has a nice view of the cottages on the shingle bar and the inner harbour, and it is very well equipped indeed. It was a good base for exploring the north Somerset/Devon coast and Exmoor. Games and books were provided, including a jigsaw for a wet day. The dining table with views to the shore was good for jigsaw. We liked having footpaths accessible from the house, with no need for a car. There is a bus service, stops outside the pub, albeit limited times.
Negative: The shower is electric, over the bath and with the screen and with the coomb ceiling it was a little awkward getting in and out, which might be an issue if you are very tall, or have relatively short legs.. We only take showers, so didn't want to use the bath, but if that's your thing, the plumbing wasn't set up for a bath. The shingle beach is an interesting feature (and a Site of Special Scientific Interest for it's geology and shingle flora) but it's not a good surface for walking, even in boots.

Positive: Location was exceptional and sitting on the balcony with that view was fabulous. Clean, comfortable accommodation with well equipped kitchen.
Negative: We were not supplied with body wash / soap nor shampoo and nowhere in Porlock Weir to buy them in the morning. Also some washing powder / pods for washing machine would have been appreciated. These should be all be supplied as essentials. Very limited height in shower for hubby who is over 6 foot tall.

Positive: Location in the centre of Porlock Weir with beautiful views especially from the sunny balcony. Charming host who runs cafe downstairs so breakfast, coffees, sandwiches couldn't be easier to access.
Negative: Hosts are aware that an update on decor is due. Didn't detract from a lovely stay though.

Positive: The location is amazing. It is positioned perfectly on the harbour with a balcony to admire the view. Very convenient parking and great walks and views all around. The cafe below serves really good coffee with a superb selection of cakes.
Summary: What a quaint get away. A place to switch off and enjoy the surroundings. Recommended.
