Positive: The host was exceptionally welcoming and reached out with plenty of information before our stay - as we were coming with 5 motorcycles, the host kindly suggested we could use the garage or park the bikes in front of the property. The location was great, Giswil is a lovely little town and the house is 10-15 minutes walk into the main town center where there is a Coop (supermarket) and the main Giswil train station. There is even a bank if you need to take out CHF. About 5 mins from the house is a small market shop "schneiders Dorflada" which you can also buy food/ amenities. The house itself is full of character and functional. The house had everything you could need to enjoy your stay and we would not hesitate to come back again. The highlight was the balcony and being able to sit out and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. The host even dropped by to make sure everything was ok and answer any questions we had about checking out. We had a great 5 days in the house.
Summary: Full of character, a great location, amazing views of the mountains.

Positive: Awesome location! Accessible to many tourist spots nearby and 1-2 hrs of drive. Host was very kind and helpful. Property is perfect for families with most facilities. We had a comfortable and wonderful stay at Giswil. Scenic view from property. Recommend this property for tourists like me.

Positive: Nice location, nice view from the living room and the bedroom, spacious room, lots of games and finally a friendly hostess and so easy check in and check out.
Negative: There is no dishwasher.

Negative: Inadequately heated when we arrived. (Apparently an oversight by cleaner) One bedroom only had electric heater which required moving a bed to use.

Positive: Charming older home. Well stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer! It was very comfortable and my kids loved the board games provided. It’s in a great location so you have wonderful views of country life in the Alps but Interlaken and other places are just a short, beautiful 30 min drive away. We would definitely stay again!
