Positive: We enjoyed our stay at the Hayes Suite and its spacious rooms. It’s a charming location, set in the grounds of a listed building with cats roaming and sheep in the field next to it. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk into the centre. Hosts were approachable and friendly.

Negative: Overall we found the property to be clean but there was a lack of attention to detail in some areas particularly where large cobwebs were present. We found that going out in the evening and coming back, there were no lights along the driveway leading up to the property. This would have been problematic if we did not have a bright torch with us. The driveway is full of potholes.

Positive: Parking was right at the door. The living area kitchen and dining area were very spacious. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to cook meals. Seating in the lounge area was very comfortable. Very nice views to St Oswolds in Oswestry to the front and open countryside to the rear. Seating area outside. Games room below to the left. Overall, we had a comfortable relaxing stay and found lots to see and do in the area. It had pretty much everything we needed, Just let down somewhat by poor housekeeping.

Negative: Although we enjoyed our stay here, we were generally disappointed with the cleanliness of the property for several reasons. Spiders and webs on the ceilings and walls. Thick layer of dust on the skirtings and tile edges throughout the property. Windows dirty inside and out. Silver tile trim in the kitchen has a thick layer of grease. Shower tile grout grimy. Shower screen covered in soap scum. The shower waste and cover was absolutely disgusting, so bad in fact my partner refused to use the shower. Full stop. Hopefully the owners will take these comments on board and make improvements to the housekeeping regime. Things to note for future visitors. The entrance from the front door is up a rather steep staircase to a landing. Door To the right is the bedroom and shower room. To the left the living accomodation. One of the windows in the lounge area has the broken stub of a key sticking out of the lock, be careful, it's sharp. The bed is the zip together type the side nearest the shower room is somewhat creaky. Mind the potholes on the driveway.

Summary: Comfortable, well equipped, but let down by rather poor housekeeping

Positive: Great property in a lovely quiet location. It was a good base for us to explore with the dogs. It felt like a home from home - everything you needed was on hand and it was all great quality. The hosts were super helpful and welcoming. The property was lovely and clean and cosy and when we arrived. Perfect for a nice quiet break away.

Positive: Plenty of space. Well equipped kitchen. Best shower...ever!

Negative: Premises were a little further from town than we had anticipated. Long slow climb back up to premises. Ended up taking the car out all the time. Car parking very reasonable in Oswestry
