Positive: Space and quality of furnishings were great and location was perfect. The kitchen was well designed and had everything needed.
Negative: Bedrooms and bathrooms were hilariously small, but it’s a farm so not surprising, and not too bad for one or two people. The bedroom curtains didn’t close fully which allowed some light in and lacked privacy. The bedroom door had to be closed at night because the bed could be seen from the window in the front door which also wasn’t great for privacy.
Summary: Beautiful location and lovely space, fittings and decor.

Positive: Loved the rain showers in the en-suite bathrooms. Appreciated that the bedrooms were on the ground floor as the last night was very windy which was evident upstairs in the great room but quiet once we went to bed. The view was lovely. Directions were very easy to follow to find the cottage. Kitchen well kitted out. Sofa very comfy and lots of selection of books and games if needed. No trouble with the Wifi even on the windy evening. Very close to Durham and Beamish museum which were our two aims. Appreciated the discount coupon for the museum. Nice to have a cloakroom upstairs so we didn't have to go downstairs to the bathroom.
Negative: Shelves in the bathrooms would have been handy. The en-suite barn doors were noisy and hard to move. Those of us on the shorter side had difficulty seeing the views from the great room windows - maybe a wooden block for people to step up onto? There wasn't much room to walk around the end of the beds.
