Positive: Loved the character of the cottage and the attention to detail of the build and of the provisions. The bed was big and comfy and the Lazy boys in the lounge were a bonus. Hosts had left flowers, herbs and grapes. It was a warm, light inviting home.
Negative: The property is on a main road which is noisy at times but it certainly didn't impact negatively on our stay. The road is quiet at night and I used earplugs but my husband didn't and we both slept well.
Summary: A fantastic comfortable home with great hosts who go the extra mile to make your stay special.

Positive: Loved all the little details throughout the house with the renovations. Beautiful finishing touches, and lovely and clean. Fantastic to be able to take our dogs with us.
Negative: Only thing to note is the garden isn't fully enclosed for dogs, but this was a minor issue - we just had long lines with us, and the traffic from the road can be heard, if you're not used to road noise.

Positive: Very convenient location. A short drive to town where there were plenty of things to-do and a springboard to outlying areas of interest to explore on the peninsula.
Negative: We were extremely pleased with our stay but found it difficult to find at first as we couldn't see a street number on the letterbox.
Summary: We have stayed in numerous types of accommodation over the years and we rate Heart of Gold tops.
