Positive: Top quality stay at Heidi Korea. Really appreciated the quaint location, and the hospitality from the hosts. The icing on the cake were great, insightful conversations with Mr Lee, about the Korean peninsula, food, travel, healthy lifestyle and life in general. Great recommendations about cost-effective travel to and from Seoul, ski rentals and more. Refreshing break from the usual hotels, into true, Korean family-style living. Spacious rooms, fantastic views, and especially loved the comfortable beds. Highly recommend it, if you are planning a getaway around Vivaldi Park. Thank you Mr and Mrs Lee!

Positive: We had an enjoyable stay at Heidi Korea and truly enjoyed the experience. The in-house barbecue was fantastic. For the charcoal BBQ, we paid Mr Lee a small fee to prepare the charcoal, which was very convenient. He also kindly sent us to a nearby supermarket where we could buy our own BBQ ingredients. Cooking our own food over charcoal was a great experience, and the kids especially loved it. The surrounding nature is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax away from the city. The owner, Mr Lee, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made a real effort to communicate with us, offered recommendations for nearby places to visit, and helped us communicate with taxi drivers. His hospitality made our stay much more comfortable and stress-free. Due to the winter season, we did not get the chance to try the vegetables that Mr Lee grows on his small farm, which would have been a lovely experience in warmer months. We visited Morning Calm and Petite France, just so-so, and the cold winter weather made it difficult to walk around for long. For skiing, Mr Lee recommended a discounted ski-rental shop, which helped us save money on equipment rentals, which we really appreciated.

Positive: I booked Heidi due to the wonderful reviews and they did not disappoint. Mr & Mrs Lee have a beautiful property and make sure guests are very well looked after. My kids have a new honorary halmoni (grandma) and harabeoji (grandpa) with my daughter especially fond of Mrs Lee. The good times started before we’d even arrived in Korea, with Mr Lee kindly arranging our Big Van transfers from Seoul and back again. We took the BBQ option on night one and had a delicious meal after Mrs Lee took us on quick trip to the supermarket. The next day Mr Lee drove us too and picked us up from Vivaldi and on the last day, helped us arrange a day out at the Rail Park and Nami Island. Mr Lee’s hand drawn map was invaluable. I highly recommend Heidi and we will be back!

Positive: Set in the lap of nature, Heidi Korea is a beautiful pension surrounded by mountains and just in walking distance runs a river where one can fish and swim. Thus, the location of the pension is really good if you are looking to stay in a scenic place. It is also very close to vivaldi Ocean World, which is around a 10-minute drive from the pension. There is also a bus service from near the pension to the ocean world. Though the location was great for us, the icing on the cake were definitely the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lee. Both of them are so kind and treated us just like family. We were greeted in the morning of our checkin with such warm and smiling faces. Though we reached early, there was a provision to store our luggage there. As we missed our bus to Vivaldi, Mr Lee himself drove us to the place and even guided us to it. The next day, he also drew us a clear map to visit the Rail bike and Nami Island. Not only has he traveled to many countries, but he is also well read and great to have a conversation with. We almost felt like we were with family. They are one of the most kindest people I have met. Even on the last day of our visit, we were able to store our luggage in the pension and spend some time at the nearby river and even on the last day Mr. Lee really helped us. He is not only kind but can also converse in English, so it is a boon for foreigners choosing Heidi. There is a barbecue place beside the pension, where one can enjoy a hearty barbecue. There is also a beautiful viewpoint from the pension where Mr. Lee took us personally. On the whole, it was a lovely trip because of the kindness and warmth of the owners and the scenic location of the pension. It is a must visit for all foreigners who want to be treated like family miles away from their homes and enjoy the ambiance of the place.

Positive: The hosts were fantastic! As a solo traveler, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home including driving me to the ski rental place and making sure I was outfitted. The hostess brought me up some food when I got back from skiing which was great. They go above and beyond to look after their guests.
