Negative: Just find the bed a little uncomfortable, we could both feel the springs.

Positive: The cottage was comfortable, warm and pretty. I really appreciated the milk and cake on arrival, and all the little touches to make place welcoming. Everything was easy and worked well, and the location is gorgeous.

Negative: Heating was very hard to regulate and downstairs was very cold. The towels provided were insufficient size for 4 adults and there was not enough bed pillows. There was no local area information or rubbish/recycling instructions provided. Cottage location instructions did not include a street name which made location very difficult in the dark.

Summary: I feel this property was more suited to a family rather than 4 adults.

Negative: Needed cleaning, lots of cobwebs and spiders! To be expected in an old property but we feel deeper cleaning would of helped this situation! Mattresses were very soft for us and only one thin pillow per person provided on the bed which wasn’t great. Cutlery and bowls etc were put away dirty and numerous bowls and plates had to be re washed before we could use them. During our stay (2nd day) it was load early evening until late as next door we’re having a gathering (BBQ) outside with lots of additional guests which kept us awake until early hours. I know this isn’t the property owners fault but it was a shame and did disturb our evening on Sunday night.
