In the unique and magical location of Dungeness, Les Quatre Vents sits in a completely private position off the beaten track and just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. Teeming with rare birds and plants, Dungeness is a designated National Nature Reserve, a Special Protection Area and a Special Area for Conservation. The landscape, famously the setting for Derek Jarman’s lovely garden and the wartime ‘listening ears’, is punctuated with wooden houses, iconic lighthouses, power stations and gravel pits, and crossed by steam trains of a miniature railway. The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway terminates about 100 yards from the cottage. Fishing locally. Shop 1 mile, tea rooms and pub ¼ mile.

Summary: A fab place. Great location. Would recommend and hopefully return one day. They need to change the photos on the listings, one it shows towels on the beds (towels not included) and the furniture in the living room is different. Photos show leather suite but infact the is an old sofa, which is very uncomfortable and two rocking chairs, again very uncomfortable. There are also loads of old magazines which I was quite worried about knocking over, maybe these could be reduced?

Summary: The cottage is lovely, we enjoyed the quiet secluded area, ourdog loved the peace and quiet. The lounge chairs and sofa were rather uncomfortable. The beds however were lovely and comfortable and we all enjoyed restful sleeps.

Summary: Dungeness is an unusual place and Les Quatre Vents is a perfect place to enjoy the surroundings. The cottage makes the most of the wonderful light in the area, and is snuggle warm if the weather turns. All the facilities in the cottage are great and the layout has been well thought out - whilst you are cooking there is a table and chairs in there, so people can join you for a glass of wine and a taste of what is being created OR chatting, playing cards - got a continental feel to it. I could wax lyrical about the living/dining room, it is so spacious and the light floods in. The decor is quirky and makes it feel like a home. I adore the place and would and will go back.

Summary: We had wanted to visit Dungeness for many years. When searching for our 2019 holiday we were delighted to find this cottage actually in Dungeness. The cottage was very comfortable. We liked the furniture layout having the seating in the glazed area. There are fully adjustable blinds if needed. We adored the location of the cottage away from other properties with bird life and wild flowers right outside.
