Positive: My experience at this hotel was truly amazing! It’s in a gorgeous location that feels quiet and far from the city but isn’t actually far or hard to get to. The staff are extremely kind. I was there during the cyclone and felt very safe and well taken care of. Priya the general manager and all of the staff went out of their way to make sure we felt safe. Priya went to the police station daily to check in on road conditions and helped me arrange a safe way to the South when the weather had passed. The hotel offered free snacks, tea and cooking demonstrations while roads were blocked. I will definitely be returning!!

Positive: Stayed here for 1 night. It was very comfortable and clean. The highlight is the nostalgia, this hotel is special as it still has many of the old tea factory equipment and some of the workings within the hotel. It's even clad in the tin sheets but it's all very well done and to a high spec I loved it as it was a historical family location, grandparents, great grandparent were managers of the tea plantation. It was fun to go round and imagine them there but even better was to see their names, in some pictures and also signed documents. Very special for me
Negative: Its quite way off the main road and there isn't a huge amount to do once there. Yes, walk among the tea, see how it's processed, go on nature trails, have a spa.. but it's all about the hotel. One, maybe two nights max

Positive: This delightful hotel was a former tea factory which has been restored and renovated, maintaining its history and charm. The hotel set among tea plantations and mountains has the most spectacular views. We were welcomed with a warm towel, small cup of spiced tea, a teaspoonful of sugar crystals and spices to taste, along with a bindi/tilak as a welcome gesture. The junior suite accommodation was excellent, the bathroom a little quirky, requiring a stool to climb into the over bath shower which added to its old-world charm. All staff were very friendly and attentive. The bar and restaurant staff were dressed in traditional attire and looked exceptionally smart. The food was excellent and the barman at the Hethersett Bar made an amazing smoked whisky based Negroni using top quality ingredients. We only stayed for one night but wish we had added another to our itinerary.

Positive: its not my first time here so i knew what to expect, the only thing was missing fire at the reception at night.. the rest is beautiful - location, spa, food. yes it is an old hotel with a lot of character, but we loved it! First time i tried the vagn restaurant and it was superb! from ambience , experience (MUST TRY) to food. MUST DO. Pricey but great. Spa - very nice massage. Walk around the estate , enjoy the silence.. Perfect!
Negative: squeekyy floors :)) as you feel as you have elephnats above you walking . Net for windows would be great to avoid night visitors :)

Positive: Was just what we wanted, a converted factory brimming with history. There was one member of staff who was great, Yoga in the fine dining restaurant experience, he really made our evening very fun and entertaining!
Negative: Everything seemed good, I thought maybe a little overpriced compared to rest of places we stayed but this was also very unique, and as much as we really enjoyed the fine dining the price of that also $100 each was a bit steep, but Yoga made it worth while ))
Summary: Converted factory, stunning views, please do the fine dining experience if you can! Meet Yoga also, he’s a star!
