Welcome to Herons Nest Boutique Cottages next to the beautiful Paw Paw Lake. This charming property is 1 of 6 super cute cottages, all new and tastefully furnished. Hickory hardwood floors, tiled baths and private deck w/grill. The property is complete with a firepit, 2 pergolas/swing, sand play court, parking and MOST OF ALL ACCESS TO PAW PAW LAKE. You can swim, launch your kayak or paddle board right across the street!
The space
This cottage has A/C, queen size master bed, bunk bed (full on bottom and twin on top), bedding, cooking utensils, dishes, pot/pans , R/O water, microwave, dishwasher, range.

The entire cottage and the shared volleyball court and grounds!

We do not provide any equipment but if you need to rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc. please let us know and we will tell you our favorite shop in town!
We require a valid ID and a signed Rental Agreement prior to check in.
RING Cameras on the property for security purposes. Please do not block the cameras, if cameras are being blocked purposefully by guests, we will have to ask to leave and collect full security deposit.
We only provide the initial supplies for the stay. If more are needed throughout the trip, It will be the guest's responsibility.

Summary: So many things wrong with our cottage. The smell of the water in this one was horrendous. My kids couldn't brush their teeth or shower without plugging their noses or gagging. The other cabins were NOT like this one as we were there with 3 other families that had 3 separate cabins. No volleyball to use for the court, had people fixing appliances when we checked in, couldn't access property with original code so had to wait on that. Pricey for what we got. Wish we would have picked a different cabin, we were just overall disappointed

Summary: Girlfriends do an overnight every few months. Normally we stay in hotels & go out & about. We tried something new with a Vrbo & stayed in playing cards & games. Cottage very nice. Cozy & quaint. A bit smaller than what appears online. Lake is across the street. The only small downside was the fire pit closest to the cottage we rented was used by another group so it was a bit awkward. Very nice stay overall

Summary: Such a great area, amenities were great and good location to reach west coast beaches and shopping! Construction across the street blocked some of view. No direct lake access. Perfect size for my daughter and I to each have our own room. Could sleep 7 , but no closets. Perfect for a few days stay. Really enjoyed the deck in the morning with coffee and sunshine. Any needs we had were addressed right away. Would definitely stay there again.

Summary: 4 of us ladies throughly enjoyed The UP cottage. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was a very hot weekend but the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was a short trip to check out Saugatauk, enjoy late lunch and then head back to the cottage for some adult refreshments, talk, laughter and Euchre! Would definitely stay again and discussed possibly renting more than one of the cottages for a family vacation!

Summary: The Herons Nest at Paw Paw Lake is a great getaway. We stayed in the UP that is the biggest property, 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch. Wonderfully clean, warm and welcoming. The property is well maintained and comes with all the conveniences for a getaway. 6 members of our family stayed in the UP while we were visiting family nearby.

Summary: We had a great stay at this property. It was updated inside and very clean. The grounds were nice with multiple fire pits, swings and a volleyball court. We stayed at the house in the back of the property which was nice since it had a good play area on the driveway for the kids. One thing to note for smaller kids is that there is no bathtub which was fine with us since we had a tote that we used. Also there is not much access to Paw Paw Lake but was fine since it is a short drive to Lake Michigan.
