Villa Maragoudi sits behind thick stone walls in mature gardens. The gardens and the salt water swimming pool (no chlorine) face south towards the White Mountains, bathed in sunshine all day long. The villa is fully equipped with all of the necessary appliances, in order to provide you a convenient stay. Arranged over two floors, connected by an external stairway, this a spacious and comfortable summer Villa for an extended family or a group of friends.
Located in Armeni village, this holiday villa is situated 3km from Kalyves beach, where ATMs and a well-stocked supermarket are found. The heart of the Chania Town and the Venetian harbour are only a 20 minute drive away (20km). Within a 5 minute walk, Armeni village offers high quality tavernas, two mini markets as well as a small butcher and cheese shop which sells famous local Cretan cheeses. Armeni is a great location from which to explore Crete, having easy access to the national highway.
Visitors in Villa Maragoudi have access to the whole villa and the swimming pool is only for you. In addition there is free access to a beautiful field in front of the swimming pool where one can find orange trees with fresh fruit ready to be cut. A spacious parking spot is also provided.
The Villa will be ready for you when you arrive with clean bathroom and hand towels and all the beds will be freshly made. For stays longer than seven days, new towels will be provided, every 3 to 4 days. For stays longer than 14 days , bedroom linens will be replaced, every 7 days. Per person, there is one beach/pool towel provided throughout your stay. The cleaner will visit the accommodation during your stay and provide services according to the duration of your booking. The price includes all of the aforementioned.
When visitors arrive, my parents enjoy giving them a hearty welcome. Additionally, we clean the swimming pool early every other day—roughly 8:00 a.m. I'm here around-the-clock to respond to your inquiries and provide you with details about the beaches, historical sites, museums, and other attractions.

Summary: My family stayed in Villa Maragoudi for 6 nights for my son's wedding. The owners were extremely gracious, generous and helpful. The villa is beautiful and carefully appointed with every amenity. We loved spending time in the pool and entertaining guests and family outdoors. The neighborhood around the villa is quiet and private yet it's just a short walk to the village of Armenoi for a coffee or meal at Taverna Drosostalia, or a short drive to Kalyves for shopping and the beach. Highly recommend!

Summary: The villa was perfect for two families with plenty of space and a large, clean pool with a great bbq area. We loved being able to walk into the village in 5 minutes where there is an amazing taverna serving huge delicious meals. Also cafes and a useful mini market. The hosts go above and beyond to give you a perfect holiday. Thoroughly recommend.

Summary: This was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. The villa is in a tiny little town where the people are lovely and welcoming. Vasi and Dinos were great hosts and made us feel like we were family. The villa itself is well appointed and beautiful and isolated from any sense of commercial tourism. The pool is perfect, every room has air conditioning and the beds are comfortable. We cannot recommend it enough!

Summary: Had a wonderful time at this lovely villa from the moment we arrived. Met by owners who were fab, we’ve rented a lot of villas over the years but this has to be the cleanest and tidiest one ever. The pool was great with a wonderful view of the owners avocado and orange grove (fresh orange juice every day!) and the mountains behind. We mainly eat outdoors and the covered seating area was perfect with a good sized bbq and pizza oven. Local Village a few minutes walk with a couple of nice restaurants, small shop for essentials and a lovely meat and cheese shop, local produce is a must to try. Overall, we had a great time in Crete and the villa was perfect for us. Highly recommended.

Summary: A true holiday paradise on Crete is only 35 minutes away from Chania Airport. On the E75 towards Rethymno, you will soon reach the Kalyves exit. From there, turn right and it is only a few minutes to the village of Armeni. After the church, an inconspicuous path leads off to the left and after 800 m you have reached your destination. The two-storey villa Villa Maragoudi is protected from the street by a natural stone wall. The front garden with old olive and orange trees opens up a beautiful view of the landscape and mountain regions of Crete. Old olive trees in the entrance area provide shade. The welcome is gracious, warm and friendly. You feel from the beginning that you have not rented an object, but that you are being received as a guest. Everything is well prepared and thought out down to the smallest detail. Nothing is left to chance. The air-conditioning in the sleeping and living areas guarantees a pleasant room temperature on hot days. The equipment in the kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Coffee machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, contact grill, juicer and a large refrigerator with freezer. A second large refrigerator at the covered barbecue area. A modern washing machine in the bathroom. The rooms are equally superbly prepared, towels, pool towels, nothing lacking. The pool, a mix of fresh and saltwater - gigantic. The same goes for the small whirlpool next to it. The pool lighting in the evening conjures up a romantic atmosphere. The view into the extensive natural garden next to it is magnificent. Picking oranges is expressly allowed, the aroma of the fruit, simply delicious, fruity and sweet. There is plenty of parking space in front of Villa Maragoudi. In the village there are a few restaurants, in nearby Kalyves shops, supermarket and plenty of beach. Those who appreciate sweet delicacies from the patisserie go to Vamos. The delicacies from the bakery are irresistible. However, you should not come too late in the afternoon. Conclusion: If you want to spend a relaxed, perfect and relaxing holiday in a private atmosphere, book Villa Maragoudi at Armeni in Crete.
