Summary: Near 2 or 3 nice beaches, close to Ballina and Sligo town and very spacious house. Really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Jackie and Reuben are lovely people and the house is in an excellent location for exploring county Sligo and the neighbouring counties. We enjoyed our stay here but felt that a few things let the property down. The double room down stairs has a very musty smell and the bed is extremely creaky- so much so that we only used this room one night- nothing that a bit of tlc wouldn't remedy

Summary: We had a fabulous time in Higgins lodge, perfect for all of our gang! House had everything we needed, we had a small issue on the first day which was quickly resolved. We will be back!

Summary: Due to an unpleasant start of our holiday (after 7 km our rental car broke down and what followed was a lot of hassle) we arrived at the holiday home 5 hours later than planned. But how warm was the welcome we got from Jackie and Reuben. This certainly made up for some of the bad start. Also wanting to think along to solve the situation that has arisen with the rental car is heart-warming. This is true Irish hospitality. Thank you so much for this! The very spacious house is certainly as described and is even more. Especially the game room is a bonus that our children are still talking about. But also about the calves in the meadow next to the house and the two very sweet (working)dogs. We really enjoyed our week in your beautiful holiday home.

Summary: Spacious and comfortable house with a garden for our dog. The hosts Jackie and Reuben were welcoming and helped us settle in very quickly. As a self-catering accommodation there was a full kitchen with modern appliances available. Local shops and takeaway are.only a brief.drive away. The local scenery is breath taking on a clear day, with walks on the farm, short drive to the beach, pier or bar. This property is ideal for families, we made great use of the games room and WiFi. This property is 30 mins from Sligo town, 20 mins from Enniscrone 2km from coastline. Enjoy xx

Summary: If you want to go somewhere quiet and away from the bigger towns and cities, with a beach close by then Higgins Lodge is ideal. We spent a fantastic week in Higgins Lodge with our children age 10. There is ample space outside for children to play safely with a swing, slide and a large garden to run. The games room was great for rainy occasions. The kitchen is well equipped but if you don't want to cook there are various places close by. The beach is a few minutes away and is a hidden gem. Jackie took time out of her to show us how to access the beach which is virtually private. A smooth sandy beach with great rock pools to explore, lots of crabs and starfish- our children spent hours exploring the hidden delights. Keep an eye out for the dolphins as we observed a school of dolphins on our last evening. Overall, Higgins Lodge is a great location for families. Thanks to Jackie and Reuben for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to returning in the future.
