Two boat ramps are down the road at the swimming beaches where you can also hire kayaks and jet skis. A large playground is around the bluff at the beach opposite the gas station.

Summary: When Cyclone Gabrielle came roaring down the North Island, the “High Tides Lookout” was the place to be! The sturdy building barely shuddered; the large window provided an excellent view of the roiling sea and terrified palm trees. We were grateful for the satellite television during our three days sheltering from the storm, although as Americans we did not fly all the way to New Zealand to watch the stupid Super Bowl for lack of anything better to do. No Irony Deficiency for us! The flat was beautifully designed, immaculate, and well equipped. The location was perfect. Our only issue was that the combination on the lock box did not work, an problem that was quickly resolved by a call to the Vrbo representative. We would recommend this accommodation in fair weather or foul!

Summary: Debbie was fantastic!! Travelling from Auckland with a little baby and debbie was amazing giving us an early check so she could rest before the rest of our day activities. The property is in perfect location with easy walking access to all amenities.
