Positive: The hotel was visually beautiful. Very clean. Most staff were fantastic and very helpful. Check in was easy. Rooms were large, AC was good, wifi too. Pools fantastic. Food was a bit hit and miss and quite expensive. Lovely complimentary Rituals products to use provided in the bathroom. Iron and ironing board too. Our room was lovely and quiet with a fantastic view over the pool and courts. The shower and loo are in encased in frosted glass. Not ideal but it was wasn’t too much of an issue for us but a bit strange the loo was though too, didn’t offer much privacy. Concierge was very helpful.
Negative: Room service was awful. My daughter ordered something late at night around midnight. Took ages to arrive - over an hour, and she went to reception twice to see where it was. The man on duty wasn’t bothered at all. Her greek salad was about the size of a tennis ball. Her friends sandwich was soggy but the fries were nice. I ordered an English breakfast the next morning, looked great but was flat cold - all of it. With the toast missing. Food in the cafe by the main pool lovely though. Having said that my husband complained to the Manager the next day and these items and some drinks we had were immediately removed from our bill. Cannot say better than that. The €200 charge to use the beds around the rooftop pool is ridiculous. A stay at a hotel should include all standard facilities like pools. No wonder it was empty. All staff smiling and helpful apart from one cleaner around the oblong pool restaurant when I walked on a part of the floor she had just mopped. I apologised but she tutted and shook her head at me. I was so shocked I didn’t say anything but should have. Like others have said the hotel is at the top of a steep hill. We got a taxi into Fuengirola and it would have been quite a walk down to the beach and I wouldn’t have attempted to walk back up the hotel. There is nothing around the hotel, no shops, cafes and restaurants, apart from some restaurants on the beach. If you were staying longer than a few days I would recommend hiring a car. There is a trolley/bus service that takes you to the beach but the times are quite far apart. Not every half hour more like every hour/hour and a half. The sunbeds at the beach club are charged at €20 each.
Summary: Lovely hotel I might return to for a couple of days.

Positive: The gym is excellent. Sports bar food was good and service friendly - though it is very busy so service slow as not enough waiting staff. The room was clean and beds comfortable enough.
Negative: It is not a 5 star hotel or holiday experience - it is a leisure centre with rooms on top of it. Food around pool was inedible. Pricing is not transparent (eg for sunbed hire around pools, whether spa costs are included with room, additional costs for in room tea and coffee). Advice from staff is inconsistent (room ready then not ready / you can have late check out then you can’t / shuttle runs every hour - it doesn’t / cost of infinity pool sunbed is €100 - no mention of credit for food or alternative pricing options ). No umbrellas available for beds around pool. No child free areas (unless you pay €100-200 extra for a sunbed by infinity pool) - even jacuzzi around main pool became a baby pool with kids in armbands taking over. Pool staff seem to serve drinks to some around the pool - not others. Staff seemed ‘worked off their feet’ to the extent it spilled into how they are able to interact with customers - either that or they are just not trained to provide a welcoming / 5 star (or even a friendly) experience.
Summary: Not a 5 star hotel / holiday - more so a leisure centre with rooms on top

Negative: The chairs on the balcony extremely uncomfortable. The sunbeds on level 2 offer no shade and uncomfortable, only for lying down flat. Not enough sunbeds around the pool area in the sports area. Had to ask several times to replenish coffee with the housekeeper.
Summary: Had business to attend and pleasure.

Positive: I had a nice stay at this Hilton—everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Considering the price and the extra cost of parking, I didn’t feel it offered exceptional value for money or service.
