Positive: Great villa with an amazing view, so quiet, comfortable and beautiful that we couldn't be more happier! The host Yannis was very helpful and his mother is the most welcoming person I've ever met. The house exceeded our expectations and if I visit Crete again I would definitely choose Kontomari vila.

Positive: This family and this house is such rare luck! The family who keeps this house is extremely friendly, kind and warm, we felt so welcomed at this house. We definitely fell in love with this family and we will come back every year there for sure. Never met such a great experience with this family. The house is very well located, easy to find, close to the sea, calm, with a breathtaking view on the seaside. Very clean, comfortable, when you stay there it seems that you stay at your own house. Everything is well thought out, the host family prepares little surprises with the local products from their own farms, don't want to spoil it, but it's the best place to be! Thank you very much for your hospitality! And hope to see you soon :)

Positive: We loved literally everything! The place exceeded all our expectations! An excellent house, with all amenities, with a very convenient layout and many rooms and balconies - we ourselves dream of such a house, definitely made with soul and love. The sea view is simply unimaginable! I would like to express my special thanks to the owners of the house - Artemis and Yanis. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention and courtesy of Janis, as well as the kindness and openness of Artemis, a woman with a big heart - our conversations at dinner will remain in our memory for a long time, and many thanks for the vegetables grown here in the garden; and we will definitely come to visit next year, to cook something together, and little son Vasilis will help us!

Positive: Well, where to start... we really travel a lot, and it was one of the best choices were have ever made all over the world. Villa is on the hill, very private, very calm, but at the same time only 5 minutes drive from the main road, so it is not too difficult even for unskilled drivers (which sometimes could be a challenge in Crete). There were comments from other guests about roosters crowing in the neighbourhood - yes, it's true, roosters crow early in the morning. but for us it was an advantage, not a disadvantage, and so were the sounds of the cicadas. But of course, the greatest value of this villa is the people - the hosts Yanis (son) and Artemis (mother). Great, attentive, friendly, kind, sincere and good people. Yanis responded to all our questions and requests. Artemis reminded the children a lot of their grandmother, and there was an immediate bond between them. I will not write everything that Artemis gave us, let it be a pleasant surprise for other guests. Artemis, we often remember you with huge gratitude and warmth :) we like this part of Crete more than the central or eastern part, and now we have our spot there:)
Negative: There was not enough space to write all the good things, so I continue here:) The photos of the villa do not even fully reflect how big, clean, beautiful, equipped with everything it is. It is designed to be lived in for a long time, so there is definitely enough for any short visit. This is a villa where you are truly at home. Huge space, with great furniture, nice touches, and high-quality appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, iron, coffee machine, etc.). For the first time, I had to see a villa where tools (forks, glasses, etc.) were left not for the maximum number of residents, but several times more. Each room has its own outdoor space - a terrace or balcony. The outdoor space is just as impressive. Neat grass, flowers, comfortable furniture on the main terrace for breakfast and long evenings. Having 2 bathrooms on different floors was very helpful for us. Mosquito nets in all rooms. We were left with many nice signs of attention - starting with bathroom accessories, wine, olive oil, butter, water, coffee, tea, sugar, even fresh eggs, it is worth mentioning separately the lemonade made by the hosts, which the children simply adored.
