Positive: Place located not far from the airport and away from the Kota Kinabalu tourist attractions but you can always call a Grab service if you want to be there. Very friendly owner and the pleasant staff. My phone died ( there was a code from the entrance of the entrance door and my room) the staff helped me to contact the owner and the owner came within the minutes to help me out. Also there was a problem with the shower and owner arrived immediately after I contacted him and fixed the problem himself. Every time I was coming to the restaurant for breakfast all staff was around me trying to help me out. There are many different stores and restaurants around the place and they have their own restaurant downstairs which provide the free breakfast with many different choices of Chinese cuisine, the food is delicious. Unfortunately they serve only for breakfast and lunch. Besides the different food choices they have a big selection of pastries, I enjoined going there every morning. Also they have free water from the water dispenser. For those who want to eat their own food, there is the kitchen with all equipment and the refrigerator. The beds in the room very comfortable. Furniture is old, but I think it was an idea of the design which is bringing the special feeling to the visitors while they are there. The beach is a walking distance from the place. If I’ll be visiting Kota Kinabalu again I’ll be definitely consider to stay with them again, I stayed there one week and enjoyed every minute of it.

Negative: I would suggest to Alex put a lock on the door of the bathroom , even I never had a problem being there, I felt a little uncomfortable while using it.

Negative: Lots of noise from the street, the airplanes and people who come in after you (the touchpad for the code is not easy to handle, so lots of beeping), floor wasn't that clean, breakfast was complementary but only deep fried stuff

Positive: Loved the help and communication before and during our stay from Alex. Thoughtful provision of breakfast, even though we left at 4am, much appreciated - thank you Great location for staying overnight to catch early flight. We prebooked Grab car easily and transfer was 8min). Driver confirmed this is essential for early flights (prebooking guarantees a car and driver by Grab). Also close to mini supermarket for.late provisions (9.30pm) etc. Sleep was unfortunately disturbed due to planes still landing at midnight and departing at 3am, which we hadn't expected (in terms.of timing!). Obviously we knew we would hear planes being located close to the airport, but flights at that time are not permitted in the UK so caught us unawares. Grab driver informed us charter flights land late/early. Communal kitchen would be great for those that need it. Lots of information about tours etc. Wish we could have eaten at your bakery too! Hopefully next time 😀
