Originally built as a manor house for the Feeser Canning Company in 1920, Arthur Willis Feeser spared no expense in the many architectural gems shown throughout the house. Minutes away from downtown Westminster and only a short 20-minute drive to Historic Gettysburg PA.
This is a private room in a B&B all other spaces are shared between other guests and the owners.
All guest rooms share a full bathroom in addition to a half bathroom.
Each room has 1 Queen bed to fit two guests comfortably and the ability to have a separate air mattress to accommodate two additional guests. Please note that with the additional air mattress, the room can be tight.
Please note: There are cats and dogs living in the house, please do not book if you are allergic or dislike animals. Owners also live in the property.

Summary: Overall, an ok place for a short stay. Our room was street facing which surprisingly was a bit noisy at night given that we were in a country/rural location. If given the chance, get the room facing the backyard. The room and bed were cozy. Owner was very friendly and responsive. Nice backyard for dogs.

Summary: We had a difficult time finding it because from the pictures we were looking for an estate. This house was sandwiched between houses on a busy road. After checking in, I went to look at the bathroom and the toilet and tub were stained badly, the tub being completely covered with brown and grey and calcium deposits. When I confronted the owner, he said it was clean. If that’s his idea of clean he shouldn’t be running a b&b! Then I had ants crawling on me in the bed and when I went down to the kitchen to make a cup of tea, I saw two more ants on the kitchen counter. Wouldn’t recommend nor will I return there.

Summary: My daughter and I planned an overnight getaway to Gettysburg, but did not want to stay in town. I found the Historic Arthur Willis Feeser Estate, which is about 15 minutes from Gettysburg, and knew from the description that we had found what we were looking for! At check-in, we met Jonathan and Tim, our hosts. They were gracious and friendly, offering suggestions for local dining and sharing some history of the estate with us. The Inn itself is immaculate and beautiful. I was especially intrigued by the combination of historic ambiance and modern features of the house. A full coffee bar is provided in the kitchen, as well as a Keurig in the room. We were provided with a continental breakfast including fresh-baked goods and cereal. As an added bonus, I so enjoyed spending some quiet me-time with my coffee and a book in the beautiful garden while my daughter slept in. It was so relaxing to watch the birds and enjoy the soothing sounds of the fountain before starting our busy day. We shared the inn with only one other person, so it was quiet and there were no issues with sharing a bathroom. I wish we could have stayed another night, but our schedules did not allow for it. Spending time with my daughter is one of my greatest joys in life, and being able to share this unique experience with her meant so much - Thank you Jonathan and Tim!! I will be back with my husband at some point!

Summary: So how can a mansion be cozy? It's all about welcoming hosts and surroundings. Jon and Tim were gracious and welcoming to two senior women who were interested in history, architecture, the paranormal, and nursing. To heck with Gettysburg; just a day on their shady back patio with a beautiful fountain and plenty of flamingos would be a great stay for a great value. Definitely worth a return.

Summary: This was a very comfortable, safe, quiet place to stay. I was traveling w my dog for a competition, and was tired of staying in Extended Stays, Red Roofs etc. They aren’t always the cleanest, can be loud, and aren’t that cheap anymore! I clicked on this, thinking it would be out of my price range, but the shared bathroom keeps costs down (I guess - it is very reasonable for what you get!). I love old houses and history, and decided to give this a shot (although wasn’t sure about sharing a bathroom) Turns out, I’m SO glad I did! There is a fenced yard I could let my dog off leash in to do zoomies after our long drive, they guys were super nice and proud of their beautiful home, very generous with coffee, water, fresh made baked goods, basically anything you wanted. The house was quiet, the shared bathroom was never an issue (the half bath when you come in was handy to duck into), and overall it was a great experience. Like staying w friends or family, without the pressure of always having to interact w them , haha. The other guests and their dogs were super quiet w well behaved dogs, and knowing they had to be out early the day I could sleep in, packed everything up the night before. They hadn’t heard me when I snuck out early, so we were all respectful of each other’s stay (turns out I had met them years ago, and they are good friends w my former boss!) The house is beautiful, well lit, original features yet wired so that it is well lit and with a safe keypad system. My dog Quattro loved his stay, and especially the pumpkin muffins! Two thumbs and four paws up!

Summary: The room at the bnb is great, however there is one bathroom shared by all the guests. It was not a problem for me since I get up early. My arrival was most confusing. I didn't know where to park the car or where to enter the building once I did park. I had been sent an email on the morning of my arrival date with confusing instructions. In fact, since I was traveling, I didn't receive the email till after I had arrived. They do admit small pets, and the chair in my room had a faint but unmistakeable animal smell. The owners are very friendly and made the stay worrhwhile. Everything from coffee in the room to an assortment of pastries and other goodies are provided for those who want to breakfast. I would definitely return. Now that I know what to expect, it will be easier to maneuver.
