Only 14 miles away from the renowned Creation Museum and 30 miles from the spectacular Ark Encounter, this home provides the perfect space for your next adventure in the Northern KY/Cincinnati area!
The Space:
Welcome to your dream vacation home in the heart of beautiful Kentucky! This beautiful oasis is the ultimate escape for your NKY adventure. Whip up a feast in the gorgeous kitchen, relax in the jet tub in the luxurious primary bathroom, or take a dip in the sparkling pool. Need to get some work done? Our cozy office area has got you covered. With laundry facilities and a stunning backyard, you'll have everything you need for an unforgettable stay. The primary bedroom suite, living room, office, kitchen, and dining room are on the first floor. The other bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the second floor, up the historic stairs through the dining room (note: the steps are steep and may be difficult for children, elders, or those with mobility issues.) There is also a half bathroom and another full bathroom on the first floor.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire home. Access is by door code. Access to the home is limited to registered guests only. Any visitors must be approved by the host and may not stay overnight.
We require all guests to sign our rental agreement and provide photo ID via the digital form before check-in instructions will be sent. Check-in info is sent 5 days prior to check-in, assuming completion of the rental agreement.

Summary: Between the large patio area, huge living room, and spacious kitchen, our group of 10 were able to congregate comfortably throughout this modernized farmhouse. The bedrooms were surprisingly larger than they appeared in the photos, and the beds were comfortable. We loved having a pool to use during our stay and nearby access to two lovely parks for walks in the mornings. Just prior to our stay, we read a review that was concerning, identifying some defects they found in the property. I want to refute some of those so others will not be scared away from renting the place. The grill worked fine. It just required a lighter to start it. There was no musty smell, and the air conditioning units worked great. The home was clean and tidy for our arrival. The photos on the VRBO site don’t clearly show how many neighbors surround the house, but there are trees and fencing to offer some privacy. We had no problems with any of the neighbors while we were there, and those we did encounter went about their business or waved. They were certainly not hostile. I can imagine that they wouldn’t appreciate loud groups partying into the night, but we were respectful and so were they. That said, if you are looking for a place that offers complete privacy where you and the family can be as loud and unrestrained as you desire, this is not a good choice. For our reunion, however, it was the perfect place. All of us enjoyed the house and felt comfortable and right at home during our 3-night stay.

Summary: The house is okay. I would not stay there again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to stay there. It’s up to you if you want to read further for the details or just move on to keep looking at other houses. Here is why I wouldn’t stay again. It’s not like this is a horrible place but it is very underwhelming. The house is very musty. My wife has Asthma and it bothered her a lot. The furniture is old and musty. The house was poorly cleaned. They provided towels for the rooms but we did not have dish towels or dish rags. The BBQ was not working properly. Many of the windows were missing screens. The outside table is falling apart. The pool was very dirty. I was emailed a couple of days before to let me know we wouldn’t be able to use it. We really didn’t plan to use it so not a big deal. The house is in a beautiful area but it is on a busy road. We wanted to take a walk but didn’t feel safe walking on the road so we thought we could cut through an empty lot that is beside the house. The neighbors told us we could not walk on that lot. We then tried to walk beside the road in the ditch and the neighbor on the other side yelled at us to get out of their yard. The neighbors obviously do not like that this house is a short term rental as both of them said that air b n b people are not welcome. The house is big and has a great reading library. Again I would not stay there again but others might be okay with these issues.

Summary: Furniture has stains and needed cleaned. Need to add curtains or blinds on windows on the main floor and the bathroom upstairs. Cleaning crew could use a nudge to up their game. Upstairs shower floor needs a little bleach. Could use a pest control treatment. Needs better lighting throughout. Need grab bars in showers and raised commodes to accommodate people with disabilities. Also, need a hand rail everywhere there is steps. Well located to attractions and shopping. Very nice neighborhood. Fair price. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels provided. Host was very good about communication! Overall I gave a 4 but with a few minor updates I could give a 5!
