Positive: Did not have breakfast, but accomadation was very quiet, secluded, but comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. The only sound was the a rooster at dawn.

Positive: We did not require breakfast but our host Ruth kept in regular contact to check if we needed anything. The cottage is very private and we were out working from early in the morning till late at night so apart from regular text messages to make sure we didn't need anything we enjoyed absolute peace and privacy. The cottage is clean, spacious and set in park like grounds. Whilst it is relatively basic, it was also homely, warm and super comfortable. Especially the beds. There were two beds. One was a double (or perhaps a queen) and the other was a queen (or perhaps a king?) The cottage is serviced by rainwater and bottled drinking water is provided by the host. We are used to freezing in the morning in Woodend even in September but the spacious bathroom had a heating light which I found to be really good. We would book this accommodation again in a heartbeat.

Negative: I daresay some people would find something to complain about but for us, Hobreid Park was perfect in every way. We are ecologists, in town for an expo so we really enjoyed being surrounded by nature and yet so close to town. There was nothing we didn't like.

Summary: Hobreid Park is a home away from home (except that someone else does the dishes!).

Positive: Very spacious accommodation in a private garden setting. Well away from busy roads and was a quiet location.

Negative: We arrived on an unusually cold day, so the air con had to work hard to get things comfortable, but it managed. I think in more normal weather conditions there would not have been an issue.
