Positive: Big house with 4 double beds, very nice old historic building with big garden and bbq.
Negative: One of the beds was damaged... the place needs some update left and right

Positive: Nice location in the countryside, house was perfectly fine, clean and plenty of outside space - good climbing frame for our toddler in the communal area (in addition to the private garden). Chickens and peacocks roaming around which was nice for our son to see.
Negative: Quite difficult to find and no directions given on booking information, just a vague area. Even when we found the rough location (purely from recognising the arch from the photos), it still took a long time to find the specific property and track down the host to get keys from. Communication prior to booking was poor as it turned out that although we booked via booking.com it was actually through another company again, which meant a lot of the information got lost in translation as it had to go through two different booking systems. The main negative though was that despite specific instructions in the house manual to go to the main farmhouse door if we had questions, we got shouted at by the owner for walking outside the bounds of the house to get to the door on our first morning. The only way to reach that door was to go onto the main farm, and we had already tried the phone number given in the manual before heading there. This made us feel very unwelcome for the rest of the stay. If they don't want guests walking to the main door they need to not have it written in the manual! And even so, the shouting felt very unnecessary.
