Summary: Ik zat gewoon te wachten op de eigenaar, bij aankomst. Niemand te zien. Ook het tel.nr. Van de eigenaar deed niets. Toen gevraagd aan een voorbijgangster, weet u iets van dit huisje ?? Ja, je moet een code hebben en dan kan je de sleutel pakken. Maar ik heb geen code !!! Mevrouw haar dochter ( hoe bestaat het ) maait hier het gras en heeft de. code. Wat was ik blij. Maar wat een tekortkoming van Belvilla Huisje is prima.

Summary: Een prachtig huisje met alle voorzieningen (m.u.v. vaatwasser) in een erg leuk vissersdorp in een mooie en fotogenieke omgeving. Het huisje is een echte blikvanger in het dorp. In de omgeving is meer dan genoeg te doen, te zien en te beleven. Zoals bijvoorbeeld de Theefabriek in Houwerzijl (heerlijke high tea), een dagje naar Schiermonnikoog, de zeehondjes in Pieterburen, de stad Groningen, maar ook de gezellige Friese plaats Dokkum is heel goed te doen. Fietsers en wandelaars kunnen hun hart ophalen. De plaatselijke bevolking is erg vriendelijk, je hebt snel contact voor een praatje. De plaatselijke warme bakker is een echte aanrader! Al met al zeer de moeite waard dus :). Onze week is omgevlogen.

Summary: Het is een fijn huisje, met woonkamer in twee delen. Buiten niet heel veel privacy, wel mooi gelegen vlakbij de dijk rond Lauwersmeer en dichtbij prima bakker, slager en supermarkt. Langs het Reitsdiep is een gezellige kade. Natuur in Lauwersmeer is fantastisch, evenals de streek met veel prachtige wierde-dorpen. Heerlijk om er echt even uit te zijn!

Summary: We truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The house has been recently renovated, and I was most impressed by the furnishings and interior decoration, which are much nicer than what one usually finds at a rental property. We also thought the beds were comfortable. It wasn't clear to me from the pictures if the house is in town or not. It's actually on the edge of the village of Zoutkamp, just a five minutes' walk to the supermarket, bakery and restaurants. During our stay, we rented bikes and cycled around the Lauwersmeer and Lauwersoog, took the ferry to Schiermonnikoog for the day, drove into Groningen (the Groninger Museum alone is worth the trip), went to the Zeehondencrèche in Pieterburen and even visited a windmill (many of them are open on Sundays during the summer months). One rainy day we drove to Leeuwarden and visited the Fries Museum. The only reason I am giving this property four rather than five stars is that I found the kitchen to be slightly inadequate for our needs. For instance, as you can see from the pictures, there is a small fridge but, for some reason, it has no freezer. Unfortunately, I didn't realise this before I went grocery shopping and came back with ice cream. (We had to eat two cartons of Ben and Jerry's that evening, which while tasty is not ideal.) Also, there's no dishwasher or oven. There is a microwave which apparently can also be used as an oven, but I could not figure out how to work it properly and, truthfully, it's rather small. That being said, I would still highly recommend this property to others and would even book it again. We really did have a lovely week (aside from the ice cream incident).
