Luxurious property of approx. 1 ha, very close to the beach with lots of coconut trees and exotic fruit trees on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean with a very nice villa of 250 sq.m (6 rooms): facing the sea and separate swimming pool overlooking the beach.
The holiday house is situated at the small seashore just 40 km south of Dakar and next to Popenguine, La Somone and Saly Portudal; it is a peaceful location where you can relax and enjoy life, perfect for long walks on a white sandy beach and a great starting point for the discovery of the multiple facets of Senegal.
The staff on-site will ensure for your daily comfort, our cook and guide will show you our country as well as the traditional dishes.

Summary: The place is in a great location on a large plot of land that feels very private despite having great views up and down the beach. The house is lovely and the guardian is very accommodating and helpful.

Summary: This is a lovely house with a wonderful pool, right next to the sea. We spent a very relaxed weekend there. However a word of warning about the location. I booked this house because on the map in the listing, it is shown as being in the town of Popenguine itself, and that is where we wanted to be. But it is a 15 minute drive from Popenguine town, beyond the neighbouring vilage of Ndayane. Still, if that is not important to you, I would highly recommend booking this lovely house.

Summary: This property, is by far the best opportunity if you want to discover and enjoy a great vacation in Senegal. Tucked away from the busy tourist area, and yet within 5 minutes you will have access to the convenience stores or to the market. The villa is fully equipped with modern ammenities and each of the rooms has it's own separate bathroom and toilet. The pool area is great and is a good spot to enjoy the spectacular sundowner on the Atlantic ocean. From the house, you can enjoy a very nice walk on the beach to the villages of Toubab Dialaw or to Ndayane. Don't miss the makeshift fish market every day in Ndayane, where you can purchase fresh fish straight from the local fisherman's boat at a ridiculously low price! If you are more beach than pool, then you can walk straight from the pool area to the beach, using the stairway behid the pool. it's literally 30 meters! At night, let yourself fall asleep at the sound of the waves, relentlessly embrassing the shore. The personnal of the house is very professional and will cater to your every desire. Ali and Thierno live in the property 24h and ensure your security, even if we didn't feel the need for it. Khady is the maid, she will prepare local dishes and will take care of daily purchase, as well as cleaning and tidying up thr place every day! Don't miss the opportunity to do some excursions in the area. My favourites: Safari at the Bandia natural reserve, just 15 km away from the property, the buzzling fish market in Mbour when the fishermen return from the sea when the sun sets. It's incredible! The village/island of Fadiouth, known as the Village des coquillages, it's amazing to see. And of course a must see in Gorée island in Dakar, one of the most moving places to see anywhere in Africa. Last but not least, it is such a pleasure to deal with an uncomplicated house owner, Yves Demeure, who has made it very easy by providing all the right tips to ensure the experience is successful. We will be back in this place, but in the meantime we fully and kindly recommend this property to anybody who wishes to discover the beautiful country of Senegal and the Petite Côte.
