Positive: Everything! Hotel is very well located, 6-7 min pleasant walk from the main railway/bus station, famous Matchstick area and lake; 10-15 min pleasant walk from the university campus; 15 min pleasant walk from shopping area. Staff is rather kind, polite, friendly and helpful (especially the guy at the reception desk in night shift, 2-5 Dec 2025). Vey clean hotel, offering high-quality wi-fi. Comfortable, spacious room, with super-comfy bed and pillows - I had a perfect night-rest! I also adored the gentle scent of the bathroom cosmetics, which was rather pleasant for my skin. Breakfast and dinner are delicious - great choice and variety of very tasty food. Fika is also very nice touch. However, it is not only about good food. In Home Hotel Victoria, it is even more about the ambient where you eat! Dining area is amazing and I enjoyed the space itself as much as the food. It is previous inner courtyard, that is covered by rather high glass-roof (so you have a kind of feeling like eating under the sky) and excellently decorated. There was not enough time in my tight business agenda for sauna, but I managed to treat myself once - nice, enjoyable experience. As for the price and value for money, I do believe it is quite ok for Sweden, although a bit expensive for me personally. If I ever visit Jonkoping again, it would be my pleasure to stay here. Meanwhile, heartful recommendation to other guests!

Positive: Breakfast options were hearty and the breakfast room was accessible all day as a place to sit, have a cup of coffee or tea and even with a sweet treat offered late afternoon. Staff was welcoming. We booked a suite and enjoyed having the extra seating area and lots of windows.
Negative: Our bedroom was up 4 or 5 stairs from the sitting /bath area and that was a bit concerning for bathroom visits in the night as we are well into our 70s. The room was a bit noisy on Saturday night due to music nearby that went late into the evening.
Summary: Good value and a pleasant stay.

Positive: What a great hotel. Welcoming, genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely meals (breakfast and dinner) with tasty high quality food. Shout out to the hard working restaurant staff who stay on top of everything with a smile! Great location in a central but calm and attractive neighbourhood. Our large family room in a corner of the old building was airy, light, spacious and had nice original features. Sofa beds for kids were actually decent and the main bed was comfortable.
Negative: Some minor wear and tear in room but nothing major considering it’s an old building and everything was clean.
Summary: Home hotel felt like home!

Positive: Staff were exceptionally good, especially Matilda. Food was very good and varied throughout our stay.
Negative: My only complaint was the size of our rooms. They were very, very small, with no wardrobe or drawers to unpack our clothes. We had 5 coat hangers. That was it. We were unable to unpack most of our clothes. I saw other rooms that friends were staying in and also when walking past when a cleaner had left a door open, all much bigger than ours with wardrobes and drawers. As I said, this was our only complaint but it made an impression and was disappointing.
Summary: An enjoyable stay but very disappointed with our rooms and storage facilities, as there were none.
