Positive: - atmosphere: welcoming, like coming to your own home - hosts: extremely kind, helpful, friendly and made us feel at home straight away, was given a tour of the home and outside areas, available if you needed anything - our family room area was excellent… so clean, fresh, beds were almost too comfortable, the tv worked (been places where it didn’t), there was all types of tv options (Netflix, paramount+, Disney etc) it was upstairs so our view from there was beautiful- the backyard is like you are in a beautiful park of trees and birds and the front window view of the area and can see the joker roller coaster! - the kitchen very open and able to make whatever foods you wished (your own brought), a fridge to put cold items in, available coffee machine, sachets for quick cuppas, tea, etc We enjoyed the fact that you were able to be free and not stuck in a hotel room… -there is an outdoor pool, sauna & spa tub Will be returning and stay a bit longer Being a home, it was spacious, quiet, welcome to join in lounge room to visit with guests or hosts Jay & Lea… lovely folks to chat with! This location is close to theme parks, not far from local Coomera shopping centre, cinemas, takeaway etc and only 30 min or less pending traffic to Gold Coast… I will be recommending this place to others!
Negative: Not that this is a negative in any way, only that being on a hill, the driveway and steps are steep so if you are disabled or have issues walking it may not be accessible unless you drive up the driveway to get out. And also the stairs in the home, there is a railing to hang on with. I would advise when booking and you can be booked in the room on the main floor.
Summary: Loved it, will return, beautiful affordable stay!

Positive: Lea is such a gracious host! First time in a home stay, I was unsure about how it would be. It never felt like we were an annoyance for Lea and we always felt like we had plenty of space. We'll be back!

Positive: The accommodation was clean and comfortable and close to The Great Australian Spectacular. The host was friendly.
Negative: Entrance to the property was a steep driveway. Stairs that were adjacent to the driveway were somewhat in disrepair and we climbed approximately 17 to 19 steps to get to the entrance. Additionally, the room that we rented was upstairs so we had to climb further stairs in the house to get to our room. The house was a split level, so one step up to the landing where the stairs were located. The flooring was a dark slate tile on both levels, therefore, it was hard to distinguish the changes in level. On exit from our accommodation, my husband fell from the landing onto the floor in the foyer (as lighting was poor) and injured his left knee and leg in several places. THIS ACCOMMODATIN IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE SUFFERING FROM MOBILITY PROBLEMS.

Positive: Lea was a good host but I was not expected to stay with as a guest with the host within the same house albeit it was my first experience on a homestay accommodation. As it was in a mid-winter month a portable heater in the kitchen will do us good as we find the room chill with the hot food prepared turned into a cold dish in an instant! On another point, the family lounge was always occupied by the host and guests were allowed to share with an encumbered inconvenience. Above all my family enjoyed the stay at Homestay-on-the-hill tremendously with Lea's warmth hospitality.

Positive: Lea and Jay are very friendly and welcoming hosts. We were free to use their kitchen and pool. They even helped us with the laundry. The room was immaculate and quite comfortable. The property location is very convenient, safe and beautiful.

Positive: Lea is a gracious hostess, friendly ,obliging lovely person, we felt like we have known her for years upon first meeting with her very welcoming and eager to help with anything you need, she also makes a great cappuccino and made us feel very welcome in her home can't wait to visit again. 😊 we enjoyed our stay as we feel we made a new friend. The bed in our room was so comfortable 😌 we stayed in the family room and the basket of treats was very much appreciated by us. There was everything you needed for a lovely stay wish we could have stayed longer. She certainly knows how to make you feel at home. Reasonably quiet location too. Very close to theme parks and shops. There is a spa and sauna and swimming pool which are available to use if you need. Unfortunately we didn't get to use them this time but always next time. You won't be disappointed with staying here. Lovely lady Lovely house. 😊
Negative: It has a very steep driveway as the house is on a hill, but ok for a small car. Lots of steps. All accommodation is situated upstairs. But all very lovely and accessible. Need to be aware of the small step up to the next level from the entry hall as all slate and the same colour, which makes it hard to determine where the step is. Lea is going to get something to distinguish the different levels to avoid any falls.
