Summary: What a slice of heaven!!!...and just about 25 minutes from UA's campus. We needed a place that was driving distance to campus for move-in, offered Alabama countryside charm and had plenty of land for our pups to run. Homestead Hideaway was the perfect fit! There is so much to share about this gem in the hillside of Northport. Autumn and her family thought of everything that a traveling visitor from the Northeast could need...coffee on the ready, cooking spices, PLENTY of cookware, items to make smores on the firepit, firewood, linens, the coziest bath towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner, cleaning supplies, and the list goes on & on. If you needed it, it was there. Our family favorite was heading to the front patio in the morning, turning on the outside ceiling fan, nestle into one of the locally crafted Adirondack chairs and soak up the view of the rolling Alabama hillside as we sipped a freshly brewed cup of coffee before the hustle and bustle of the day started. Beautiful memories made!!! We didn't make it to the dock to enjoy Lake Tuscaloosa, so we'll need to return to do a little fishing. The drive into the property is a bit windy and takes about 2 minutes, but the Adams family nicely marked the path with signs, so you won't lose your way. All in all, we would highly recommend this Hideaway to anyone looking to visit UA or the vicinity. We will definitely be back! What a perfect place to send our little man off to his 1st year of college...Roll Tide!!!

Summary: This rental was absolutely perfect for our family. The rental had everything you need. Autumn left us a basket with items for s’mores, including firewood for the Firepit. There was so many things that she had in the home including spices, detergents, cooking oil, and many more items that you usually don’t think to pack. The house was clean and beautifully decorated!! We would love to rent here again.
