Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Beautiful rural location, lovely walks straight from the house.
Negative: In very close proximity to adjoining houses that make up the rest of the mill, which all appeared to be residential homes rather than holiday cottages, which in such a small hamlet made us feel we were putting the neighbours out a bit.
Summary: Nice accommodation in a beautiful location.

Positive: Great level of provision for basics. Immaculately clean and well presented. Clear instructions for recycling, parking and local folder of knowledge for where to eat etc.
Negative: Parking was not adjacent but no issue as there was room for parking for all properties. Not being able to charge the EV was inconvenient as we would have happily done so for extra charge.
Summary: Lovely cottage in pleasant peaceful surroundings kept to high standard.

Positive: The house was spotless and very well stocked with almost everything you could need. The furniture was very comfortable and the hosts provided lots of useful information about the area.
Negative: The bedroom door handles were a little stiff and creaky making them quite loud if someone got up in the night and the bathrooms had no locks. Also, would’ve been nice to be provided with a couple of fresh basics in the kitchen, eg milk & bread etc, especially when arriving on a Sunday evening after a very long journey.
Summary: Lovely cottage, beautifully presented.

Positive: My wife and I stayed 4 nights in Honeysuckle cottage. Although the weather was awful, mainly rain and fog, we still managed to have a really enjoyable relaxing time. We both loved this comfortable well equipped cottage and its quiet surroundings. It was everything we were hoping for. My wife is on a low-fodmap diet, which restaurants often don't cater for, so it was great to have everything needed to produce a lovely meal. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great and all very clean. The location is perfect for day trips being situated adjacent to Northumberland National Park and only a half hour drive to the coast. The weather improved on our last two days and we were able to visit Bamburg Castle and Holy Island. We would love to stay at this cottage again to visit what we missed this time.
