Take the kids to Disney World for the day and then come back to a peaceful quiet lake retreat. Our home offers amenities for the entire family. This is a boater’s paradise! We are located on Lake Dora-the jewel of the Harris Chain Of Lakes. Traverse 7 lakes with plenty of boating, water skiing and fishing! Hook, Wine and Sinker is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with a private swimming pool, plenty of outdoor dining and relaxing space, BBQ and your own private dock. Get up in the morning with your coffee-head to the dock and enjoy the beautiful sunrise or go down in the evening with a glass of wine and reel in a record breaking bass! If you’d like pool heated additional $50 per day if the weather is above 60 degrees.
This is a two-story home with stairs from lower level to top level & not wheelchair accessible. We are in the country, on Lake Dora with plenty of privacy but yet close to Mount Dora by boat or by car.
The lower level has two bedrooms which includes a king bed and bunk beds with a full sized bed on the bottom, a flat screen TV with complimentary cable, a game table, a full sized sleeper sofa and laundry area. Linens and complimentary toiletries are provided.
On the upper level you will find a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker, blender and cooking basics. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and an attached master bath, along with a beautiful view of the lake from the living room as well as a flat screen TV and all the comforts of home.

Summary: The property manager excellent! Sue was the best manager I have ever experienced. We loved the community it wasn't to far from anything! The view of the lake was beautiful!

Summary: Property is at a great location! Minutes drive from Mount Dora which is an amazing, quaint town filled with shops, cafes and beautiful surroundings. Just an FYI, the downstairs level has stairs to access the bathroom and a step to access laundry and pool area. Although steps have caution strips, caution should be taken with small children and older adults. Nice home in private surroundings. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Great communication, but could have been better on some key things. Hot tub was inoperable but was given free pool heat in exchange. Would have preferred to have the hot tub for the adults and paid for pool heat. had been told it was going to be fixed but then the last min fix turned out to be the wrong part after they had known of the problem for a couple of months. when they say you are being watched.... you are... received a text message after a grand parent stopped in to visit bringing us our boat, telling us if they were staying we had to pay over occupancy after they questioned an extra adult through the ring camera. The private dock, from the photos it would look like you get to park under a covered dock... you don't. You park on the side with the narrow path that needs some boards replaced to the left side of the canopy. They happened to have the lumber laying in the way of access to it. That should have been done prior to us or lumber moved. Especially since they knew we would be brining our boat from the point of initial booking back in February. The Pools outside lights are broken and "on the repair list" one small door lamp light is all you get for the meantime. I've stayed at cleaner places and I've stayed in dirtier places, under the couch cushions were pretty gross, lots of crumbs and wrappers. The washing machine door seal was also covered in mold. Would i stay again... if the repairs are made and you got to park in the actual covered dock perhaps. its a great size property with a nice outside fire pit that fits our vibe. Just needs some attention to details that draws people in.

Summary: Loved the property, spent most of our time in the pool. Husband and son fished. Not layed out well for wheelchair. Downstairs bath two steps up. Main living area and kitchen upstairs. Had child in wheelchair so not a big problem. Views were beautiful. Property has lots of trees on both sides and feels very private and secluded from neighbors. Sue-Ann the property manager was wonderful. Highly recommend as long as you can do stairs.

Summary: We had such a lovely stay. The pool was the main attraction. The kids swam all day everyday. We brought our boat and had an easy commute from the boat ramp to the house. The beds were so comfortable and the entire house was very clean. The manager of the home was attentive and super helpful with any questions we had. It was relaxing and fun for the adults and kids. Would definitely go back!

Summary: From the start Sue-Ann was very helpful in the questions I asked and the details of the rental . As for our stay , home was in a quiet neighborhood , a short ride to any shopping . The home itself was unique in the upstairs living and downstairs bedrooms but nothing one could not adjust too . Home was clean and comfortable . Ouside the pool was okay and the fishing convenient . If any negative thought , it would be that daily price a bit high ?
