Positive: The house was spacious and comfy. We appreciated the various rooms to sit in and loved the garden overlooking a field with sheep and lambs and a view to Pen y Ghent. It's set slightly away from the road, actually on the Pennine Way. Very handy location for hiking and exploring the area. The owner was helpful and friendly.
Negative: There's no local convenience store, so ensure you bring all provisions needed for that first day.

Negative: I would have like the recycling details to have been a bot clearer, we took our recycling home and couldn't see any food waste options.

Positive: Property is a lot larger than the photos implied. It is a rambling property in a fabulous location & a morning suntrap out the back watching the sheep in the field. Idyllic!
Negative: We brought 2 cars - 1 small hatchback & 1 large saloon. If we'd had 2 large cars, parking would have been tricky, especially with the drainage ditch opposite limiting turning angles.
Summary: A gem of a property in the Yorkshire Dales.

Positive: Location is stunning and right 'on the piste' for walking/running one (Pen-Y-Ghent) or all 3 Yorkshire 3 Peaks. The property is light and airy, warm for drying wet gear -it was June after all! Parking and a charger too!
Negative: Needs more F&B in the village. However, everything you need is a ten minute train ride or 6m in the car to Settle.
Summary: Stunning location, either for walking, running or caving all week - or just putting your feet up!
