Positive: This is a family house, they are building a small hostel around themselves and have a single room en suite completed. The construction continues, may be completed summer 2026 for an additional room. Certainly adequate, but noisy with construction. Friendly people

Positive: I had good WiFi most of my stay which was incredible given the location in the middle of nowhere, the room was very clean and comfortable. No hot water but that is expected in this corner of the jungle. Only a 5 minute walk from the pier. The host is very kind and gracious and organized a guide for me at a reasonable cost.

Negative: A bit of noise from the outside, the windows do not have shutters only a screen mesh so you can pretty much hear everything from the outside and there is a gym opposite that plays music sometimes until 9pm or so, after that it is mostly quiet. The one thing to note is that there is construction right next to the room (they are building another room) so it is very loud most of the day, starting around 8am. This did not affect me too much since I was usually out on the tour and back at 5pm when construction was over.
