Summary: My husband and I stayed at Hostel Saruya for one night as part of our honeymoon trip to Japan. We are an active couple in our early 30’s who were looking for a Japanese homestay experience near Mt. Fuji. We are so pleased to have chosen Hostel Saruya. We absolutely loved the charming annex building (we stayed on the second floor). The place looks exactly like the photos. We loved the minimalist style! Everything needed was provided: shampoo, body wash, conditioner, electric kettle, tea and coffee, even earplugs. Check in was super easy, the staff are lovely. Everything was CLEAN! The beds were so comfortable! I’d recommend bringing your own eye mask if you prefer sleeping in the dark, as there were no blackout curtains. Earplugs are definitely needed, as the walls are super thin and you can hear other people moving around. Overall, we were bummed to leave so soon! Hostel Saruya was our favorite hotel from the whole trip!

Summary: Right outside of the hostel is the famous instagram spot. The hostel itself is really interesting concept, suitable for the young. Not recommended for eldery as the staircase to the room are steep and narrow.

Summary: Located within walking distance from 3 train stations. Perfectly located right on the most popular street for photography. Do take note that if you book their quad room you'll need to top up for additional pax because the listing is somehow for less than 4pax.

Summary: Stylish hostel featuring a traditional design mixed with contemporary elements, and all the accommodations for that type of lodging. Very helpful staff. The city on its own is not a touristic destination, but the surrounding area is full of place to visit, best by car. The hotel’s neighborhood includes many restaurants, and a café right next door.

Summary: Beautiful hostel. We stayed in a private room in the annex. Everything was super clean. The shower products and soap are great and smell amazing! If you’re upstairs the ceiling is slanted so just be careful not to hit your head!

Summary: This hostel was beautiful, delicate and calm. The worker there was nice and happy to help. I very much enjoyed my stay. I really liked the shower and the all of the linen products, too.
