Summary: Friends just wanting to get away from our kids and responsibilities and this cabin was perfect. Close enough to town that we went out for some very nice meals and exploring and a fully functional kitchen for all the snacking and lounging we were looking for. Perfect mom getaway.

Summary: This is the greatest cabin! Plenty of sleeping space, and well stocked. The outdoor space was a beautiful oasis. This is the nicest and cleanest hot tub I’ve ever been in! Can’t say enough great things about Steve and his cabin! I love the town of Makanda, and I will be back soon!

Summary: Our family was in town to tour SIU - this house was cozy and so nice! Beautifully decorated, well-stocked, and so many thoughtful touches! The hot tub and fire “pit” were such a nice luxury. Thanks so much!

Summary: This place was easy to get to right off the main road. I think this place has all the amenities you could need. The hot tub is very large. The host promptly responded to my questions. Our family of four really enjoyed our stay and hope to again in the future.

Summary: We loved the cabin. It was very clean and felt like home. Our favorite part was the back patio. There is a large gas powered long, rectangle “fire pit” with patio furniture on 2 sides of it. We lived sitting there and talking before we got into the hot tub to relax before bed. The host was very responsive and friendly. We will be back soon. It was very romantic for just the 2 of us.

Summary: Very cozy, comfortable beds, great hot tub, easy to get to several wineries from here.There were 5 adult women & I don't think you would want anymore people than that since the living room area is pretty small. Hot tub & back deck with the fire pit & couches was great. Bring eye mask if you like to sleep in because rooms do get sunny. Pictures make it look like it is secluded but there are other cabins next door & it is at the front of a golf course.
