Summary: The property was clean and the staff friendly. It truly is an uphill hike to the property from town. Grindelwald is very touristy and commercialized. We took a day trip to Wengen which I highly recommend and would stay in that village next time.

Summary: Alpenhof is a lovely little hotel nestled just a short walk uphill from Grindelwald Station. It offers everything you need for a great stay in this beautiful alpine village. The location is central and convenient, with easy access to everything from First to Interlaken. The rooms are clean and cozy, the on-site restaurant is very good, and there’s parking available right in front of the hotel. For those traveling by electric car, charging facilities are also available. A great base for exploring the region!

Summary: Excellent view of the Eiger mountain! It could be steep to get to the hotel but it’s worth the effort if you want to see a breathtaking view of the Eiger, with the option of a room with the view.
