Summary: Lauscha is an old city that is struggling. The hotel is very nice, the hosts are great. The town has few dining options

Summary: Although hotel was very nice, access was a challenge since the street in front of hotel was all torn up. Parking was perhaps 100 meters but we got by just using our carry ons. Hotel was inviting although room and particularly bath were tight. Had lovely breakfast included in room price. Although no lift, we had only carry ons and just one flight of stairs.

Summary: The hotel is managed by a family, easy check in with parking behind the hotel. Breakfast was average for a small village hotel. Very close to the glass shops that the region is known for. We would use this hotel again if we were in the region. Several other couples were also staying at this hotel.

Summary: We arrived later than expected at 10 PM but the lady was kind and helpful. Her English is not so great but that never kept her from trying and helping. The restaurant tastes great, food is fresh, quaint and comfortable. The dinner chef is awesome!! The rooms are clean and basic. Bring earplugs in case you're on the street side, because it gets busy in the morning! I will stay again when I return to Lauscha.
