Positive: The room was very spacious. The pool area had plenty of sunbeds. The staff were welcoming. A well stocked shop is a minutes walk down the road. We stocked up on salads for our lunches and cold drinks as the room had a fridge. The town is a few minutes walk away and very Spanish. We choose this hotel as it was only 15 minute drive to the f1 track.

Negative: The aircon. There is no remote control and the room was freezing. The receptionist warned us of this as they had had complaints and told us where to switch it off. The room and the floors were freezing still so bring slippers and a dressing gown. We visited in June. The car park charges are high and near on impossible to park outside the hotel.

Positive: Relaxing, beautifully ran hotel. The pool was amazing, location was perfect, staff super friendly and helpful with a satisfying breakfast. Yes it’s run down with some design faults like shower door not closing fully and renovation should be gradually planned but it didn’t dampen my experience

Positive: Nice furniture and big rooms. There were activities organised, like yoga classes or piano night.

Negative: One of the rooms we booked had a water leak in the bathroom ceiling. The whole bathroom floor was covered in water. We found out around 10pm when we got back from the spa and ran to the reception to report it. The guy in the reception told us that there was nothing he could do because it was late and there is no other room available, so we needed to stay there and they would check the leak the next morning. Eventually we needed to carry our stuff and take a shower to the room of our friends because this was too dangerous. The wall had changed colour and there were also lights on the ceiling, close to where the water was coming from. After one hour of negotiations and complaints in the reception the receptionist finally gave us another room for the night, which means there was an available room after all. If we didn't have friends in another room, we would walk around in our bathrobes until 11pm. No discount or any type of compensation was offered from their side.

Positive: Hotel room and spa access- good value. Central location. Generous buffet breakfast.

Negative: Couldn't adjust aircon temperature in the room. Spa towel and slippers were not provided in the room, although I had booked the spa prior to my arrival. When I asked for them at the spa, they were annoyed. Communication was lacking.

Negative: The suite was sparsely furnished, with an antique upright two seater sofa, that was not comfortable, and a single bed in the lounge area. There was no information about the hotel, restaurant, menus, facilities etc anywhere in the room. The jacuzzi was empty on arrival and took an hour to fill and as far as we could tell there was no way to drain it so that hot water could be added for further use - there were no instructions for use. The wooden decking on the terrace had a lot of movement in it - was very spongey to walk on. The next door room and terrace had their jacuzzi directly behind a low wall next to our jacuzzi so there was no privacy. Several parts of the spa were closed - outdoor pools and steam rooms.
