Summary: Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Pool and terrace areas are beautiful. Pool gets busy at times. Elevators can be really busy at check out. Location of hotel is amazing. Close to train station, metro station and underground (RESO). Was able to connect to many places without even going outside.

Summary: Good update room and comfy beds and robes provided. But it felt like such an ordeal to get to the parking and no in/out privileges so a pain. Also, if your room is located in certain areas, you need to lug your luggage up and down stairs. Pool area was good but packed. Too impersonal for us but it has its merits.

Summary: Service around the pool was incredible; room service was cold (french fries for the kids meal burned and inedible). At least 3 people walked into our room without knocking during our stay! The lockers at the pool facilities do not work properly, which is inconvenient, but it was a great stay (loved the breakfast in the executive lounge in the morning)!

Summary: The front desk female staff was friendly but on two separate occasions we had experiences with rude service staff in the restaurant. The first night it was the older male bartender the second night it was a male server. The bartender seemed to be bothered when we asked questions about what scotch he had. Only after I was going to choose another drink did he place a list of scotches down for me to choose from and then he walked away like we bothered him. The second night we entered the restaurant for a late dinner and the table we went to was not clean. We asked for it to be wiped clean and the male server looked at us like we were being ridiculous. He only spoke to us when he said are you ready to order. AVOID THE RESTAURANT - go elsewhere such as the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth less than 5 min away for drinks, food and polite service. When we went to pick up our luggage we had left with the doorman he was no where to be found and after 15 minutes I had to call back to the front desk to get him to show up so we could get our bags out in time to depart. While waiting for the doorman a Parisian couple came out upset because one of the men at the front desk was extremely rude to her. It seems to be a theme here that needs to be addressed as while the hotel is nice and the pool is nice next time I visit Montreal I will be trying a different hotel as I expect to be treated politely by all staff not just by the women I interacted with in the hotel.

Summary: We loved the hotel and vibe but some things that could improve is communication. They give you robes for free but you have to request them at the front desk. We weren’t informed about this at all after noticing other guests wearing them at the pool. Also I wish they had room service in the morning for breakfast. Also, I wouldn’t call the hotel ADA friendly. It was hard to get to the room with a stroller as different layers of steps everywhere. Overall an excellent stay. Just a few hiccups I wish I knew before booking.

Summary: Our stay was absolutely fabulous! Clean, quiet, and prompt service each day. The rooftop pool is a glorious feature with plenty of seating. And gosh...do we need to mention how amazing the location is to downtown! Shops, markets, pubs, restos, and more all within walking distance. The only cautionary tidbit which may affect some is that the property is highly-scented with fragrance pumped throughout. This isn't rare for hotels and it's not advertised as a scent-free property so have antihistamines on hand if you have sensitivities. Enjoy your stay!

Summary: Great location and pool area, but the very friendly and service minded staff, at the reception and the restaurants, is the major perk of this hotel.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bonaventure. The staff - employee (can’t remember her name, she is Greek) greeted us at our arrival, Always smiling and patient with our questions, the waiter, Jeff, the room-cleaning lady who all did everything with smiles and wanted to make our stay Great!! The room we had was very nice, bed vey comfortable and loved having view into the garden. Everything we tried and ate at the hotel’s restaurant was delicious!! Coup cœur for « morue tacos » The hotel is very well situated, easy walk to Old Montreal or to St Catherine street for some shopping and near Eaton Center. We will come back!!!
