Positive: Location is superb. Great view from deck. Room was very cool. Had a huge whirlpool tub in the room! Other than noisy as heck (signage not to use after 10pm as not to annoy neighbors) the tub was awesome! Place was clean. Very comfortable

Negative: Maybe it’s because if its age, but it just wasn’t maintained well. Nothing much offered as a perk. Staff seemed ambivalent to patrons needs and fatigued at living and working so remotely. Ice machine was broken, no daily linen change or room tidying, no fresh towels unless asked for, but then, the office hours weren’t late enough to get things when you really need them.

Summary: I had a great time in Gualala, but it wasn’t because of the hotel.

Positive: Very nice with an unbeatable view of the Gualala River and the Pacific Ocean.

Negative: Unfortunately, the front desk needed to leave at checkout time and that caused confusion with returning the key.

Summary: Incredible midweek value for a quality coastal getaway.

Positive: Location staff and view. Attached restaurant is very good, and also on the higher side. However, filet mignon was over cooked and disappointing.

Negative: Mattress needs replacing. Fireplace was non functional price was a bit too high based on the above. Continental breakfast needs better options.

Summary: For a destination area, it is one of the better motels for the area.

Negative: The windows didn’t work, the fireplace didn’t work, the sheets and towels were very low quality. The ice machine was broken.

Negative: Run down, dank. No tech to stream just 1990s cable TV on an old school flat screen circa 2004. Fire place but no fire. Thermostat but no temp change and it was cold. Couldn’t even find air vents. So I thought maybe it was radiant floor heat, but floors stayed cold all night. Way too pricey for what you get.
