Positive: Decent hotel, great location. Claimed seaside view overstated as small window in corner partially blocked by tv overlooking more like a canal in my mind is not a seaside view . Otherwise good

Positive: Great location on the harbour side. Stunningly designed public areas, very atmospheric.
Negative: Tiny bedroom. For this price I expect to at least be able to hang and store my clothes but there was literally no space, just a tiny wall hook for three clothes hangers; no wardrobe or shelving, no shelves in the bathroom either. No air con which meant having to leave the windows open, and (in summer at least) Alesund seems to have a very lively night time social scene until well into the early hours - so it's noisy!
Summary: trading on its location and design. Cheaper (but not cheap) rooms are too small.

Positive: Location, good breakfast choices, heated bathroom floor, temperature control. The hotel attracts a lot of young adults.
Negative: I mattress needed to be replaced as it was worn and no support. I didn't like the fact there was no additional security for the door, like a chain gyard, just the deadbolt.

Positive: Overall, very high-quality furnishings and a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was very good and there is also a hotel parking close to the hotel. Sauna is included, also bathrobe and towels. beautiful neighborhood. I liked the Christmas Dekoration.
Negative: I booked a standard double room with sea view for 3 nights and was very disappointed with the room we received. Our room had not much in common with the pictures on Booking. In addition there was hardly any space for suitcases or clothes in this room. Glad we had only hand luggage.

Positive: Perfect location right in the center of Alesund. Very cool renovation of historical buildings. Great breakfast. Only drawback--room got a bit stuffy and "close" (top floor, could not open the window much, but had a fan to use). Great walking from the hotel.
